Sounds like a graphic card issue, which is on-board, meaning you'd need to replace the whole motherboard.
Not sure if they still make parts for it, so your best bet would be to check eBay/Amazon or similar sites. A brand new one goes for $200-250, and a used one would be around $50-100 is my guess.

For some reason I have a CD that is labeled "Sharp Software CD-ROM OZ-590/ZQ-590". Could this be what you are looking for?

PS - I never owned one so I dont know why I have it.

This can only be caused by one of 2 things. The first being that the volume has been reduced to the lowest or the speakers are burnt out. In the first instance all you have to do is go to settings then volume control and increase the volume.
If after doing this the volume still doenst come up then the speakers need to be replaced this you will have to refer to the nearest sharp centre or local distributor near you.

You can sync this device to your computer and that will let you do many things, but this device does not send email. You can sync it with your Microsoft Outlook and download contacts, schedules and your calander.

A password is to protect the phone from misuse. If you could change it then there is no use for it as anyone could change it. And I am glad that your password is working.

You cannot change it. You have to get the firmware reinstalled now to be able to use the phone. And in future please do not use the password as we all tend to forget it sooner or later.

Account holders would usually have passwor accessibilty. Missing passwords are replaceble either reseting too capture new effects as authentic account holder. Also, the process is achieverble by account holdeer only requiring expert support in the situation that complexity arises. I've been doing some research on your question. As it turns out, it seems that Windows 7 is out of the question for your Sharp Wizard OZ-730.

However, I do have some good news - if you'd like to purchase another PDA. I was able to locate a complete list of PDA devices that are compatible with Windows 7 (according to Microsoft).

Before making your selection though, I'd do my homework and investigate fully any other problems and features you may incur or desire, respectively depending on the PDA you select. (ie.: Do you need WiFi?)

Basically you export is as a text file, and then you can import it into something like Excel in order to convert it to a different format.

Contacting the manufacturer will allow you to get a code to bypass the lock.

You will need 3 items to interface your Wizard with a USB port.

1. A generic USB to RS-232 adapter cable (with 9-pin serial connector, to match the connector on the OZ-730 interface cable).

2. A USB to RS-232 driver for the above cable. (If you have Windows XP: HL-340.EXE, contained in 111.rar, which can be downloaded from www.usbserialdrivers.com. If you have another version of Windows, or if you have Linux, you will have to consult the documentation on www.usbserialdrivers.com to find the correct driver.

3. Software to communicate with the Wizard. You should be able to use the software that came with it, or purchase RuppLynx, or download Microsoft ActiveSync or a similar free program.

I used a cable I purchased on ebay, the HL-340.EXE driver installer, and RuppLynx software to connect an OZ-730, an OZ-570, and a Zaurus 5800 to my Windows XP laptop without any problem.

I have a a Sharp yo-480. I've fixed sticky keys many times. I back-up data in the organizer first. (yo-480 doesn't have a flash memory) then carefully dissasemble unit. Lift out rubber keypad and use WD-40 to wipe circut board and keypad. It's the sticky residue that makes the keys stick

If you forget your password, there is no way to bypass the Secret function or enter a new password without losing all data marked as Secret.

If you forget your password, you will not be able to
unlock the Organizer and access your secret information. If this happens, you will have to delete the old password to be able to continue to use the Secret function. This will also delete all entries marked as secret.

Word Translator
English-Spanish bi-directional word translator function is available
for download. Refer to "Downloading database" on page 32 for

5-Language Phrase Mode
5-Language Phrase Mode is available for download. Refer to
"Downloading database" on page 32 for details.
Select an English key phrase to find equivalent expressions in four
different languages - German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
A phrase can be browsed under a traveling situation, or can be
selected from a list of words.
To search phrases in a certain situation
1. In the Main menu, tap Phrases to
enter the Phrase Mode.
2. Select the desired target language.
3. Select the desired scene to
browse the relevant phrases. For
example, select "3. Airport".
4. Tap the desired phrase to select.
Tapping the phrase one more time
to display the entire phrase.
5. Press
x to display the equivalent phrase in the target
language.

Downloading database
The Database menu of the Desktop Utilities allows you to download
database for the Word Translator / Spell Checker, and 5-Language
Phrase Mode from the CD-ROM.
1. Insert the PC software CD-ROM.
2. Click "Download" in the Database of the Desktop Utilities.
3. Select a file you wish to download, then click "Open".
