Thumper Mini Pro 2 not running

Hi Scott, chances are you have shorted components on the hot side of the switching power supply and not just a blown fuse, there will be a larger capacitor in the hot side of the power supply, take your multi meter put black wire on the negative side of that capacitor and the hot side on the side of the fuse that doesn't go to the power cord and see if you see real low resistance, if you do there are parts bad, if it's high resistance try replacing the fuse, if it's a solder in fuse you can get a replacement from digikey or mouser.

How do I find out what year my Scott Voltage bike is ? The serial number looks like GA08/148 I'm not sure If that's a slash mark or a 7. Can't make it out

Go to BikePedia and enter the bike model in the Search window (best if you enter which model of Voltage if known). Zoom the browser window so you can see the frame color. Scroll through the results until you find a bike with the same color scheme and then go to that to confirm by checking the equipment against yours to determine the year. As it appears the Voltage was made from 2007-2014 it would be helpful for you to have some idea of age range to check in order to cut down how many of the 119 results you have to check.Doubtful the serial number will help, but you can try a Google search for "Scott bicycle serial numbers." The digit you referred to is curved, so would be a 7, not a slash. One other possibility is that there is an option on the site to register your bike: SCOTT Sports. If you do that it may state the year/model when you enter the serial number during the registration process. In any case it's usually not helpful to post the number, as anyone you ask would have to do the same search as above. You can also try contacting Scott, but I don't know that they will respond to potentially thousands of people asking for such info. The model year is generally unimportant, except maybe for accuracy when posting for sale. It does not control replacement parts or repair techniques. Finally, from the very limited picture you provide I'm wondering if you are sure it's a Scott Voltage! What do the serial numbers on a scott foil 40 stand for

You'll have to contact Scott for that. Most bike brands are not actually manufactured by the brand, the components are all made a few makers, the frames are subbed out to several different makers (mainly in mainland China), and the assembly may be done by an entirely different company. One frame may be used for multiple models with the brand just spec'ing a different paint scheme and drive train components to come up with different price points. Unlike an automobile, bicycles will not have matching serial numbers on the frame and all of it's components. Contrary to the marketing hype, most bikes within a given price point category will be virtually identical in spec'd components. The difference will be nuanced and the frame dimensions may be slightly different, but other than that it's the "same ****, different smell".

Scott LCT32SHA LCD TV is having audio problems. Sound needs to be turned to max to get sound. New cable box installed today with no solution. Any suggestions?

Try to connect external speakers then try external amplified speakers. In this way you localize problem and find out what to fix/replace.

I replaced the power board on my Scott TV LCT37SHA. when I press the power button the red light blinks as I push it. if I hold down the power button it just blinks until I let it go. please help!!

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

My scott lcd hamy scott lcd tv has a hdmi port but i can't get it to work with anything any suggestions on what to do

Be sure to try another known good source in that HDMI port. If it still won't work, you may need to replace the Main pcb. that would be the printed circuit board with your input/output ports on it.

TV wont turn on after dusting

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors - Flickering screen - Screen image disappears after several seconds - Dim screen - Slow start - Power LED on, but no picture - Unusual colors and/or lines The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad. If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced. New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years. Take it to a repair shop.

Power supply main and secondary fuses value and rate

5A for primary and 3.75A for secondary; we've used 4A there as well and frankly even 5A as well won't make much difference. Be advised that when those fuses are blown you have a bunch of other things to replace on the board as well and unless you do them all there is always risk of a repeat failure. I am reminded about it once or twice every month :-) Unelss you are a seasoned professional my advice is that you do not try to replace a power failure that resulted in both fuses being burned and let others do it for you: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/785/scott-lct37sha-power-supply-board-repair-serivce-for-totally-dead-not-powering-on-or-shutting-down-tv
