Sapphire Computers & Internet - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
Is there anyone who knows
There is no reason why this graphics card should not be working. The Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 has a PCI-Express 16x slot. The HD6870 requires at least 194W at idle and 320W under load (when playing games or video encoding). This leads me to believe that maybe the card isn't getting enough power.
The HD6870 needs 2X 6pin power plugs as show below directly from your power supply.
Motherboard power is not enough so make sure you have connected these plugs firmly and that your power supply has the relevant plugs.
If your power supply doesn't have two 6 pin power plugs then you can use the molex to 6pin coverters that came in the HD6870 package shown below.

HD6870 DVI
Use the manufacturer's utility to check the temps. I would first swap out the DVI cable to make sure that isn't the issue. Then try a different monitor/TV to eliminate those as the problems. If you have onboard VGA you could also switch to onboard VGA to make sure the cable is good as well as the monitor.

After installing new ATI HD4670 video card on my
HelloIs this new video card the only video source on the PC (i.e. there is no other VGA connections on the PC)? Without knowing the make and model of the PC, I will list the most common issue when replacing the video card in a PC. 1. Connect the monitor to each available VGA connection and boot the computer - to see if any VGA output is working2. When you find a working VGA output, go into BIOS and change the VIDEO settings to either allow BOTH the onboard and add in video OR allow the add in video only. Save the changes and turn the computer off.3. Move the video cable to the add in video card, turn the computer on and see if the BIOS is using the new Video card
