You did not post the model number but if the unit uses pushbuttons on the actual set, the carbon coating on the inside of the switch pad is flaking off and causing problems. You may be able to remove it and clean it up and it would be fine, you may have to use a new coating on the buttons though.

The blinking is an indicator that it needs service. Call a technician! Ask if they are experienced in mini split systems. You can check the air filters.
