That happened to us. It was a broken pump, pump was up in attic. attached to our inside air-con unit. We had it fitted on an inside wall of the house, and so a pump must be installed to take away the condensed water to the outside of the house. Hindsight being 20/20 I would never buy one that needed a pump to get the condensed water out of the house. We would have put it an outside wall where the water goes straight outside, no pump needed. Our First pump lasted just over 2 years so warranty was expired. Cost us over NZ$500 to have new pump installed. Never again. Only attach your unit to an outside wall, even it looks prettier on the wall where it would need a pump. Bottom line:- Don't touch a pump. Pump was cheap but labor cost for serviceman astronomical! Bet of luck.

there is no suction at all when the machine is off as the gas equalizes around the system all you will read is the pressure of the gas in the system and that will tell you nothing to read gas pressures you need to know the type of gas in the system , have gauges that can handle the high pressures and have two on a manifold so that you can read suction and high side pressure differences That way you can see if the system is low on gas or over charged

need to know the gas in use as r12 pressures are lot less than r134

other than keeping the air filters clean and a regular clean of the evaporator fins, there is nothing to service get a user manual from on line or from the box it came in at best if it looses it's cool you will have to get in a technician to check for gas leaks and re-gas it

Yes my unit shows a snowflake, bucket with squares (my husband thinks it is a fire bucket), fan (which we know about), and a sun. Does the snowflake mean-use in winter, or does the sun mean-heat ? We have a ComfortStar and the only booklet that we got is the technical manual which does not help us.

Hi, The red light indicates it's either heating or in defrost mode Check the outdoor unit if the compressor is running - the large pipe on the outdoor unit should be hot on heating or cool to touch on cooling When in heating mode - the indoor fan will not start until the indoor coil is warm enough If the reversing valve that changes from heating to cooling is faulty then you may encounter the same symptoms too Probably need a Refrig Tech to have a look at it? try repacing batteries-or/and turn off high voltage to system waite 5 minutes -turn back on---if this doesn't work call an hvac contractor or go on line for troubleshooting advice
