Could be the iris blades in the lens are not closing to control exposure - can you look into the lens while taking a 'selfie', and see if they close ? If not, then it needs a service, I'm afraid.

Take off the card don one side it should have a little switch that you can slide please find it and see what side says protection off or on and thats all you need.

It depends on what type of battery it uses. Some batteries once they have fully discharged are not able to recharge

try this... set your camera to video recorder mode, press Menu, press right arrow once, Audio should be highlighted in orange and should be on... if not, press Set then select On...

Usually you just plug it into the PC and turn it on and the PC recognizes it as a camera device.
