How to recover photo album lost in this drive
There is free software to recover lost files. If you have not written anything new on the space occupied by the photo album you should be able to recover it. Check Google for the software.
What is the meadia is write protected?
Move the write protection to the off position. It is on the side of the card.
There is no such thing on a usb stick - if you are getting this sort of message something is drastically wrong with the pen drive or your computer.

I don't have a computer is there any other way to format sandisk 16gb SD card for my moto e?
Odd how the few who tried to answer ignored this part of the question, "I don't have a computer". Or the fact the person specified the item in question is a micro SD card for a phone, but people kept answering as if it were a flash drive, or a computer was related. Open your eyes people. Sheesh!!!
As with most phones with SD card readers they will have their own method of mounting/formatting a card for use in the phone. DO NOT use the computer to format the card prior to using it in a phone.
Insert the card into the phone and open settings. Find memory card options. Scroll down to mount card option. Select that to mount the card. Another option should be available or should appear after the card is mounted. Format the card using this method to be used on the Moto E.
Same thing applies to camera's... they will have their OWN format /mounting method and you shouldn't use a PC version format. As the device will have some format or parameter is requires in order for the card to be used in that device. Only use a PC format if the product specifies to use a PC to format.

What is the life span of a SanDisk Cruzer?
It all depends on how it is treated. In your pocket they can last months or days or years. If its the only place with certain data you need a data recovery specialist to salvage it. In the future, you should use at least 2 devices(one cloud based) to guarantee proper storage.

Can you put videos on it
No, the Sansa C240 does not support video files. It will handle MP3, WMA, WAV, and protected WMA DRM audio files. It can also handle still images in JPEG, TIFF, PNG, BMP, and GIF files.
I wish that I had better news for you. Some of the newer MP3 players from SanDisk do support video files.
