3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

Download music
Music is stored on your computer (or on the Internet) as .mp3 files. You can rip (convert) them from your own CDs or find them online for sale (like at Amazon) or as free songs (Google "mp3 blog".
Here are videos showing you how to get the music on the player. Look at No. 5 and 6.
The Sansa plays other files as well as .mp3, but start with .mp3, the most popular and least complicated kind of music file.
My shaker does not play all of the loaded songs.
I had the same problem. The songs that won't play are probably MP4 files and the shaker only plays MP3 files. You need to change the file format of the songs on the shaker to MP3 files. I downloaded "Media Coder" which was free and it converted all the songs on the shaker that wouldn't play to MP3 files and they play now. Google "Media Coder" and download the free program, it is very easy to use. I had the songs converted in about 2 minutes. Make sure the shaker is plugged into computer so that you can choose the files on the shaker to convert. Hope this helps.
It will play for about three days then it says DRM
If you don't have DRM license for your music, it's because you haven't synced your player with the program on your computer in a while.
DRM is on your music because you most likely use a subscription service such as Napster or Rhapsody for your music.
Just plug your player into your computer and sync your device for the DRM license to refresh.
Drm installation issues
DRM-protected WMA files are going to give you this problem, depending on where you got them from - it is not a defect with the player itself (a limitation, perhaps). For instance, Spiral Frog downloads will not be usable on this player. Nor will songs that do not have transfer rights.
Your best bet is to get songs that are in mp3 format - they will not give you any DRM issues.

My e250 will not sync
This player IS DRM-Compatible, but DRM-protected files almost invariably cause problems at some point. Unplug the Sansa, Uninstall all the Sansa software, and reinstall the software. Replug the Sansa. See if Rhapsody will now recognize it. Try synchronizing.
There is a workaround, but it is illegal - you can get a DRM stripper, and then just use Windows Media Player to transfer the now-DRM-free songs.

Will not turn on with new battery
Well it depends where you are, are you in New Zealand?
Try reseting the player if it has one other wise take it to an electronic shop to get it fix.
How to hard reset it
Reset the device first by holding in the power button for 15 seconds or longer.
If this fails, download the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool from:

Philips mp3 player wont turn on
Please try to format the player as formatting it will likely correct the issue. Formatting will destroy all data on the player and get rid of any corruption. You would need to right click on the removable disk icon under My Computer and choose format, we recommend using the FAT file system.
The two ways i know how to reset would be to remove the battery or hold down the power button for 20 seconds.
Sanso Clip 2G from Windows Media Player
You may be syncing them to the wrong file. This is odd, but try fishing around the device for any "Music" folders. Then, you should be able to cop&paste the songs there. Please rate!
Stuck in Converting Mode
go to my computer and click on removable disk which is where your mp3 player is at, look through the files ( they are the files you should have on it ) delete them from there.
