SanDisk Cruzer - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
The flash drive will not start up when I plug it
Flash drives are STATIC Drives with no mechanical functioning parts. This kind of apparatus can be shunted or discharged by electrical disturbances. For example, a static charge, somewhat like when you rub your feet on a carpet and touch a door knob "POP, you get a spark". So, if the flash drive receives an electrical discharge or it is pulled from the USB Port without properly ejecting it, it can render the flash drive dormant. The data will be lost and usually can not be retrieved. That is why you should always make a secondary back up of important data on another drive.
Hi
I bought a SankDisk Cruzer
The Cruzer drive comes with its own enabling software (the program name you mentioned). You should be able to view that drive using Windows Explorer (to view the files). Then right-click on the RunSanDiskSecureAccess-Win.exe file and select "Run as Administrator". This should execute the program and allow you to utilize the drive after it installs completely.
When I insert sandisk cruzer
Since it works with other systems there is a system incompatibility issue. Are you using the same OS in this machine as in the others where it works? Could it be that?

These answers are garbage. You should be using "Roofus," you won't have to do any of that fancy formatting stuff. You can just select the drive and ".iso" file in the program and begin burning. https://rufus.akeo.ie/
How can I bypass my own password?
A password supposed to save guard your drive. What good would a password be, if you could override it?
There are programs on he net, that could unlock a password protected file or drive, but only as long as the password is simple. That means just a few characters. As long as you don't have acces to the programs the secret services of the world suppose to have, you won't be able to access your jump drive. Sorry

Remove write protection
This could be a Windows Registry setting that disables you from writing to your flash drive (or formatting it). If you are running Windows after Win XP SP2, you can change that setting.
To
disable the write protection:
1.From the Start menu, click "Run", type "regedit", and press <Enter> or click <OK>.
2.Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > StorageDevicePolicies.
3.Double click on "WriteProtect" and change the value to 0 (WriteProtect = 0 for disabled; 1 for enabled).
4.Close the registry editor and restart Windows.
5.After Windows starts, test writing to your USB drive.
Important Note:
Serious problems might occur if you modify the Windows registry incorrectly. **PLEASE** make sure that you follow these steps *exactly* and *carefully*. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it in case you have trouble so it can be restored.
For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps as in the KB Article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/
How can I have it be reconized?
Need more details: What computer and what operating system? What is the capacity of the memory card and the USB Flash Drive? Are you using the computer's built in card reader or an external one?
If the computer is older, or you are using an older operating system, it may not recognize higher capacity cards, and you may need to buy a higher capacity card reader.
