-Don't worry about until you get the unit in and set up where you want. Then you have to run a line from the closer gas pipe to it.
Then will connect the flexible gas tube to it.
It's very sample. You don't need a license to do for you.
Take all measurement then just go to Lowes and buy all fitting, shutoff valve , Teflon tape for natural gas and pipe for gas.
-If any shut off vale to the line that you'll work on, make sure turn it off before proceed. Or if there is not one there then you have to turn off the main valve at the out side of the house.
-After done. turn the gas valve on then check for leak.
Use water and dishwasher soap mix together and spray along and around the new connectors of the pipe all the way to the dryer. If there is no bubble then no leak.
Your are done.
Good luck

always gotta unplug it ,take the top off, remove the control panel, take out the screws that hold the front panel on and the two screws near the lint filter on the outside, remove the top metal bracket where the control was, remove the bulkhead then the drum,
pull the drum, check the motor and belt pulleys to see if they're damaged, the belt could have popped off one of the pulleys from a large load or the belt is stretched, gonna have to look at thhem to see.
you have to get in there the belt could have broke,if so there's a belt switch that won't let the dryer start if the belt breaks, also if the dryer hasn't been taken apart and cleaned out should be done once a year also the vent line,i use a leaf blower to blow out the line,if it's a long run remove the vent line from the back of dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower, stick it into the vent line and blow it out to the outside, you'll have to read out all the t-stats to see if one of them popped,if the dryer runs to hot one of the t-stats will pop as a safety,if it's blocked with lint this will happen.
Lights come on (Drying, Cooling, and End). No codes appear present. Disassembled and found belt tensioner pully locked up. Belt wore through plastic pully allowing the tensioner lever to move far enough to trip what appears to be a safety switch. When this switch is open, dryer will not start.
your motor is part DC31-00055D it's around 140.00.i've never seen a cap on a dryer motor but yes on washers.if you were opening the door, holding in the door switch and turning the drum while someone else hit the start button and the dryer started then you have a bad motor, also you do get 120 volts from the motor to heater so it could be the motor causing the heater to fail also but the easiest way is to get in there with a meter and check the parts yourself, set your meter to say 20k ohms, you should see a 1 on the screen, touch the leads together and you should see anything but 1.now go to the part you want to check you have to remove at least one of the wires off of the part you're checking, put one lead on one side of the part and the other lead on the other side where the wires connect to the part,if you see 1 the part is bad or open,if you see anything else but 1 the part is good or closed, that's it,if you don't do this you'll be changing out good parts all the time, you want to check the heater element, all the thermostats on the heater box and on the blower wheel housing,if the element is bad i would change out the heater box you get the heater and the two t-stats that are on the box part DC97-14486A and that's around 95 dollars.you can go here put your model number in and look up the parts yourself,go on utube and it will show you how to change out any parts on your dryer good luck and happy holidays
Two options:
1) Return the dryer and replace it with the correct electric model.
2) Call the local gas company and have them run gas service to the new appliance.
if your Samsung dryer stops spinning but you can still hear the motor running when you turn the machine on, the drum drive belt is either slipping or it's broken. Nevertheless, with moderate do-it-yourself skills and a few simple tools, you can save the cost of a service call by replacing the belt yourself.
1
Unplug the dryer's power cord before starting. If the plug is inaccessible, trip the relevant breaker switch on the household electric panel and stick a strip of masking tape over the switch to prevent someone else from restoring power while you're working.
2
Slide the dryer away from the wall. Remove the two screws securing the rear of the top panel to the back panel, using a Torx-head screwdriver. Slide the panel about 2 inches backward and lift off the panel. Set it aside.
3
Go to the front of the machine and carefully ease the top edge of the control panel outward with your fingers to release the four retaining clips on the top edge. Once the clips are free, rotate the panel forward to access the wiring harness connection. Depress the locking tab on the connector and slide the plug out of its socket. Set the panel aside.
4
Remove the four Torx-head screws in the trim piece on the top edge securing the front panel to the dryer. Open the Samsung dryer door and remove the two remaining retaining screws on the lower half of the door flange.
5
Depress the two locking tabs on the top edge of the front panel, using a flat-head screwdriver. Pull the top of the panel forward. Disconnect the door switch wires on the inside top of the panel by depressing the tab and pulling the plug straight out of the connector. Lift off the door panel and lay it aside.
6
Disconnect the light bulb wire on the upper right of the front bulkhead by pulling the plug straight off the spade connectors. Detch the wire by undoing the nylon wire tie attached to the bulkhead. Remove the four screws securing the corners of the front bulkhead to the dryer as well as the single blower mounting screw on the lower left of the opening.
7
Disconnect the moisture sensor wire harness plug on the lower right of the opening. Slide the front bulkhead upward about 1/2 inch and pull it forward out of the frame. Detach the wiring harness from the two nylon wire ties and set the bulkhead aside.
8
Reach under the right side of the drum if the belt is still intact and push the spring-loaded idler pulley to the left to release tension on the belt. Slip the belt off the idler and motor pulleys. Lift the drum and pull the old belt out of the cabinet.
9
Slide the new drum belt over the drum with the ribbed side facing downward. Lift the bottom of the drum and loop the belt around the motor pulley. Ease the idler pulley bracket toward the left and loop the left side of the belt around the back of the idler pulley in a zigzag fashion. Rotate the drum one full turn to align the belt.
10
Reposition the front bulkhead and secure the wiring harness to the two nylon wire ties on the top of the bulkhead by opening the ties and twisting them around the wires. Align the four tabs on the bulkhead corner brackets with the keyhole slots on the cabinet frame.
11
Press the bulkhead inward, lower the tabs onto the slots and secure the bulkhead to the cabinet frame with the four Torx-head screws removed earlier. Replace the blower housing screw and tighten it securely.
12
Reconnect the moisture sensor wire to the wiring harness plug on the bottom right of the opening. Reconnect the light bulb wire on the upper right of the bulkhead and secure it with the nearby nylon wire tie.
13
Reposition the door panel. Push the bottom edge inward and align the tabs on the bottom corners with the slots on the base frame. Lower the panel and reconnect the door switch plug to the wiring harness plug behind the top edge of the door panel. Press the top of the panel inward until the two locking tabs snap into place.
14
Replace the four front panel mounting screws and the two door flange screws removed earlier. Tighten all six screws securely and close the door.
15
Reposition the control panel and reconnect the control panel wire plug to the wiring harness socket. Align the tabs on the bottom edge of the panel with the slots on the frame. Lower the panel and press the top edge inward until all four locking tabs snap into place.
16
Replace the top panel and align the slots on the front corners with the tabs on the support bracket. Slide the panel toward the front and replace the two mounting screws removed earlier.
17
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket or reset the breaker switch, whichever is applicable. Turn on the Samsung dryer to ensure that the drum rotates at full speed. Slide the appliance back against the wall.
Sounds like there is something wrong with with the timer or the start button you may have to call the dreaded repair man hope this helps Merry Christmas
