Samsung SyncMaster - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
Samsung syncmaster 971P going to sleEp after searching for analog/digital signal
WELL step one is setting the PC, to a correct resolution the monitor allows. (I use avideo signal generator) so I not need to play PC games to do that. but can, forcing PC to 1024x768 is best NOW.good news the screen is not dead. 2006 monitors most are CCFL dead. now. no text error and no OSD screens, do you get OSD button to work?\/learn these rules. first (off CCLF lamps are not dead)the monitor power button blue means ON, off black means powersaver mode (dumbb idea this color black, yellow best)this old old monitor fails on vast kinds or modern resolutionsOSD page one try RESET?learn that VGA + DVI scans can fail, on vast monitors. we simply go to the OSD menu and enable DVI, forced, source select Digital.and now it all works well that is if no using the correct DVI port on the PC, mine has 2, one on video card and 1 on the mobothe mobo port IS DEAD when VIDEO cards are present.so that is one more way to get it wrong.there is no w10/11 support on 2006 monitor that means w10 must be forced to a legit resolution manual per below. in desktop settings;most monitors the OSD button is dead, after 10second just turned on. so power off, power on and hit OSD menu, button.best is use PC with a modern monitor an force resolution to one of the below then plug in this lame 2006 monitor and see it work.only these work at PC end to MON. note no 1080P !!!!! ouch!VESA, 640 x 480VESA, 800 x 600VESA, 1024 x 768VESA, 1152 x 864 VESA, 1280 x 960 VESA, 1280 x 1024next time buy monitors 2010 or newer never older. oK?https://www.manualslib.com/manual/201753/Samsung-Syncmaster-971p.html?page=30&term=osd&selected=1#manualfree manual to read, on IT.

How to fix pink colur screen on sync master 794 mg samsung
The connecting cable or the video card would be the first suspects. Try a different cable to connect the monitor first, if there is no change, the video card in the computer would be second to look at. Can simply connect a different monitor to your computer to troubleshoot this. If the testing monitor works, it will be the graphics card that is the issue.

Auto Adjustment won't work on Samsung 2253BW 22" LCD monitor
I looked up your monitor and that resolution is not supported. Which means auto adjustment will not work.
The video card will compensates for that, and resizes the picture for a display resolution that shows the picture anyway, (if it can) but isn't what you wanted. Your best bet is to use resolutions that are compatible, or get a (different) monitor.

I have a samsung syncmaster
from user manual troubleshooting section
(When connecting D-Sub cable) Check the signal cable connection. (When connecting DVI cable) If you still see an error message on the screen when the monitor is connected properly, check to see if the monitor status is set to analog. Press Source button to have the monitor double-check the input signal source.
Source button Activates a highlighted menu item.
/ Push the 'SOURCE', then selects the video signal while the OSD is off. (When the source button is pressed to change the input mode, a message appears in the center of the screen displaying the current mode -- analog or
digital input signal.) Note : If you select the
digital mode, you must connect your monitor to the graphic card's port using the
DVI cable.

Respected sir,
I have a samsung
Try using a different HDMI cable. If issue persists, try using the DVI port and a DVI cable. If not then try removing your video card and just use the on-board video option of your PC. If issue persists, try a different monitor.

Increase in brightness & sometimes switch to "negative" momentarily
he Dell I'm using also has an adaptive brightness, regardless of the fact it does not have a light sensor. It just changes brightness of the screen depending on how much white/black is shown at that moment. Whenever I switch from a very dark to a very bright website I notice and increase/decrease in screen brightness. I'm running Windows 7 by the way.
Good Luck

When I turn on the
It could be a bad cable, a bad connector on the screen itself, a major problem with the screen and something as simple as the driver or settings on your graphics card.
If you are trying to use the screen as a secondary screen you need to enable it on the Operative System. Try different cables and different cables for the other connector types available on your screen and graphics card. Try another screen with your current setup too, and if possible try your screen with other PC. These tests will show you what kind of problem you are experiencing and will provide you the solution too.

Is this a laptop?
This a common problem for monitors, especially on laptops. This cause by the inverter board. The inverter boosts voltage to light the screen. When goes bad they go bad they often work for a few seconds. If you look closely you can see the screen but the voltage is not there to get brightness.

DVI won't work
WOW! I have that monitor too on one of my systems!
Strange thing is it HATES the SVGA connection ~ but works FINE with the DVI... wish I could tell you why?
I've tried a array of 'new drivers' but none help... STRANGE thing too is OTHER monitors work FINE (with the VGA port) so I'm fairly confident it's not that...
I CAREFULLY inspected the pins on the male connectors to assure none are pushed back into the connector body and tried new cables too... still NO GO?
PLEASE let US know if you found a solution!
Anthony

When i start or restart or if my computer get
You may have the resolution set wrong for the monitor. Usually one will say "recommended" by it. If that does not work, sounds like either you need to update or rollback your driver. (If recently updated, roll it back. If not, then update it. If neither of these works, possibly you need a new video card.
