your stone or jets are plugged. if stone try to clean it. if jets try to run needle in jets. it sounds plugged up. check lines. if that does not work diaphragm had a hole in it or the push rod is bent or connectoe is loose or worn out. check these as long as motor works it is usually one of these. good luck

I presume you're referring to a submersible pump. the impellers are either centrifugal or screw type. Check the direction of rotation by turning the pump on without the impeller installed. Then install the impeller so that the blades can draw water into the pump body and expel it at the discharge discharge outlet.
