Are you sure the model of the drill is 691220? That would appear to be the model of the charger base. I know of no recall on the switches but I need the correct model # to be sure. There was a recall on the charger base for certain drills. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/recalls04/2007/alltrade.html

I called customer service and they said that you have to use a Craftsman brand 19.2 volt replacement bulb and it will work.

It sounds like the switch but check the brushes on the motor and the connections from the switch to the motor.

There is probably a fault with the switch or the wiring. Has it been taken apart recently the wires might have been put on the wrong way around.

Look at this diagram and check item 74. They tend to break where the connector makes contack with the rear of the field.

their is a posability that the main shaft in the drill broke do you smell the motor

is it plugged in?
Is there power to the receptacle which you are plugged into?
