Hi, I have a hand held Rowenta steamer that is not producing steam. Thinking it needs to be de clogged, I put water and vinegar in the reservoir, however,

If you have hard water in the area you live you may have generated a ton of scale inside your steamer. If you have the ability to disassemble and clean out all the ports you can try that. Just rinsing out with vinegar and water will not do much of anything. That is a routine maintenance method. It is going to take some work to get everything unclogged.

My Rowenta Perfect Steam DG2580 will not produce steam. Would this be the element, boiler, switch malfunction?

If the boiler does not operate or the red light on the control panel comes on even though there is still water left in the tank, we suggest you check the water tank is not empty. You can also check the removable water tank (depending on model) is pressed down firmly in place and press the restart button located on the control panel. Also the steam output control dial may be set at minimum (depending on Model); therefore turn the dial up to increase the steam. By other problems there must be a thermal fuse between the heating element and the switch build in a heatshrink or just as it is (how its look like) always good to know why that thermalfuse could be broken, that if it give no resist to show if measured that its important before replace that the cause is found. thermal-bskgf21iojrsnsthk45xa5xe-2-0.jpg By replace remember that you should place a pliers near the housing so the heat of a soldering iron on the end of one of the wires cannot pull into the fuse-element because it will direct damage, the heat must pull into to the pliers a screw terminal can be also a little solution to it. Find out there is no leaking or hot colored dots on some points. control it bevor repair.
