Unless yuo can find a Rotel authorized service center, you are not likely to find any service information. These units should not be difficult to repair. Their designs are pretty much standard with a few twists. Any shop that handles audio repair should be able to resolve this. If not, please post your location and I'll try to locate a shop for you.

Also, are there any indications that the unit is trying to work at all or is it completely dead?

Yes, take it to the approved repairer for this make of equipment.

Check the rest of the power supply, for example the transformer if there is no power at all. If you are getting some indication of power, check the voltage regulator circuit.

If the Unit Powers On then most probably the Fuses could have gone bad You will be able to replace the Main Fuse yourself but REPLACE WITH THE SAME KIND OF FUSE in terms of RATING

Hi Awal. Interesting problem. Have you tried another pair of leads? What source are you using please, cd tuner etc? I noticed the the names for the five audio/video inputs can be customized by the user, Maybe there is a firmware issue? With the unit being surround sound Have you tried running in 2 chanels only?

I'm guessing you don't know for sure that it even needs fuses. They don't go out like they used to, as everything is controlled by a microprocessor(computer within your unit). I would suggest, that you, with the power plug pulled out, use an ohm meter to be sure that each fuse is shorted. Try fixing your remote controller, because sometimes when we neglected to replace our remote batteries for a while, it will leak and it will build up on the contacts of the remote pad.

Take off the battery, open the back of your remote, lift the circuit board, clean the green painted part with cotton balls slightly damp with rubbing alcohol as well as the black thingy behind your remote pad, let it dry put it back together, replace with a new battery and try if it works.
