Some possible reasons are: 1) Door switch is bad, 2) overheat thermostat or fuse inside machine has been tripped, or 3) controller/timer has failed. or 4) circuit breaker has been tripped at your control panel. God bless your efforts.

I have a Roper heavy duty 8 cycle 2 speed washer: it works well until it gets to the rinse cycle going into to spin. It totally stops working for about 30 minutes and then will finish cycle

Sounds like timer issue

Our roper is very loud in spin cycle and now has a grinding sound to boot at most times...bearing?

unlikely more probable that there is an obstruction between the tub and the drum ( coin, bra wire etc) causing the problem

The plugin for the washer needed to be replaced so washer was unplugged. now it does nothing but hum. seems to be stuck or something. model roper rtw4516fw2 help.

If you are talking about wall receptacle have it replaced. You can take a heavy extension cord and try another receptacle.
