Ridgid model WL-12000 runs but top pulley not spinning.

Question moved from Washing Machines category. There is normally a shear pin on units like this so that the pin shears if the chuck jams and it saves the motor. There is an object marked as a 'roll pin', but unfortunately most parts are obsolete. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/ridgid-wl12000ls-wood-lathe-parts-c-7929_8182_8183.html https://www.google.com/search?q=ridgid+model+wl-12000 ..

Why does my Rigid shop vac make a high pitched whistle with a long hose on it but not a short hose?

The high pitched whistle that you are hearing from your Rigid shop vac with a long hose may be due to several reasons. Here are some possible causes:
  1. Airflow restriction: When you use a longer hose with your shop vac, it increases the airflow resistance, which can cause a whistling noise. This is because the motor has to work harder to maintain suction, and the increased resistance can cause turbulence in the airflow, creating the whistling sound.
  2. Hose size: The size of the hose can also affect the whistling noise. A smaller diameter hose can increase airflow resistance, which can cause the same issue as a longer hose.
  3. Clogs or blockages: If there are clogs or blockages in the hose, this can also cause the whistling noise. Check the hose and attachments for any obstructions, and remove them if necessary.
  4. Vacuum motor issue: In some cases, the whistling noise may be due to a problem with the vacuum motor itself. This could be caused by a damaged impeller, a loose fan blade, or other issues with the motor.
To fix the issue, you can try the following:
  1. Shorten the hose: If possible, try using a shorter hose to see if the whistling noise goes away. A shorter hose will reduce the airflow resistance and may help to eliminate the noise.
  2. Check for blockages: Inspect the hose and attachments for any clogs or blockages. Remove any obstructions that you find.
  3. Clean or replace the filter: If the vacuum filter is dirty, this can cause airflow resistance and make the motor work harder, leading to the whistling noise. Clean or replace the filter as necessary.
  4. Check the vacuum motor: If none of the above solutions work, you may need to inspect the vacuum motor for any issues. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, you can take the shop vac to a professional for repair.

I need to charge a Ridgid 18 volt lithium-Ion battery, I have a Bauer 20 volt Hypermax Rapid Charger, it does not fit together so I rigged with 2 jumper wires, what else do I have to do?

Nothing else, just pray that the extra 2 volts (11% overcharge current) doesn't set the battery on fire and ruin the charger.

My 13 in ridgid planer isnt feeding... .any ideas? Model r4330

Portable thicknesser has all the powered parts in the power planer head including the powered rollers that auto feed the timber under the planer head. I have never had one apart so I don't know how the rollers are connected to the motor though as the head is so compact it is more likely gears than belt (mine is floor standing and uses a belt) and likely has some sort of overload clutch that will slip in case of an overload. Whatever the drive system is, it clearly needs repair and that will mean removing and dismantling the power head and when the faulty component is found it might be a good idea to order two to cover future replacements.

I have a Ridgid R4510 table saw and while making a cut a board jammed and the table saw stopped and the house circuit tripped. Now the table saw will not start.

Most table saws have a overload circuit breaker, check that. It is usually a red button that trips.

What can i do to make it working back ? my Ridgid air compressor tri-stack 5 gal portabl after i drain all air out since winter and then it will not starting back .

I would first make sure there is power going to it, switch it on, tap on the pressure/power/control switch, open it up and visual inspection of the contacts to varify the contacts are closed or on. Look for a reset button, the electric motor may have on on its end bell. Use a voltage tester as needed, caution, electricity may cause injury and even *****.

Where can I find a replace part for ridgid 823565

Your options appear to be: 1) contact the manufacturer: 800-474-3443 https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/contact-us 2) try to find the part on ebay Here it is on ebay (purportedly): https://www.ebay.com/i/One-1-Ridgid-trunnion-clamp-shoe-part-823565-for-14-bandsaw-/112577506256?rmvSB=true 3) check the users forum on the www.ridgid.com website 4) look for a used one for parts I have no way of knowing the part numbers and how such might match with parts sold on ebay. The manufacturer might be able to help with such. The part number you supply appears to be for a "shoe." I do not find replacement sources.
