Screens works for 5 mins then goes blank!!!!!

It could also be that the video card is not compatible with this monitor. After the pc boots up, can you get into windows? Does the monitor always go out at a specific time on boot? Say for example; you boot the pc, windows startup splash screen comes on; screen does a quick flash and goes blank. Then it maybe the BIOS setting for the video. Try changing the IRQ setting. You could also try putting the video card in another slot. Do you have the manual for the motherboard? Ray

Urgent problem with my relisys monitor, please help!

sounds like an overheating problem. you can try blowing out the back of the monitor, or putting a fan close to it. If it is really dirty it will shut itself off so as to not get damaged. is it crt, or lcd?

Crt Monitor Macer Model C708 as soon as i connect

Have you checked that power is reaching your PC? First, check your power socket by plugging something else in. Next, you need to check the monitor's power line.If it has a fuse in its plug, check that by substitution if you don't have a test meter. It is very unusual for the power lead itself to get a fault because monitor power leads are heavy and of good quality.
It is possible that an internal fuse has blown, but if it has, there must be a cause. I would not advise you to even check that due to very high internal voltages even when power is off. Unforunately, CRT monitors are worth so ilttle these days that they are not worth repairing. Your best bet is to find a used monitor locally, which should not cost you much because they can hardly be given away these days.Look in your local papers.

Can you send me a manual for the relisys monitor

This is not a store. It is a site for getting helpful tips. What type of manual are you looking for, a user manual or a repair manual? If the latter, I think you are wasting your time. Though this was a good monitor in its day, it is just not worth repairing. It is hard to even give away a CRT monitor these days.I recently gave 40 brand new boxed TE770 to a charity, because nobody wanted them at any price.
Have a look in your local papers and pick up a bigger crt monitor for next to nothing. Then get rid of the one that you have.

On then went off but power light is standby moode...

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Waivy vertical and horizontal lines on my lcd monitor...

The interference may be another electrical item, for example a tv or speakers, turn off anything close to the monitor and check that there are no bent pins in the pc to monitor VGA cable and that it is not interfering with any electrical cables to see if the problem is illiminated.

How to get rid of green line down monitor

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems that you might have a backlight and/or an inverter board issue with this TV set. It could also be due to the inverter circuits for the backlights. The inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. There could also be a screen driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire inverter board. All this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for checking the internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages running even when the set is switched off. The cost to change the inverter board including labor would be around $250, if you get this done by a professional. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Relisys vertical bars

Sorry this wont help you much, but may put you out of your misery trying to repair it.
The LCD panel has failed. In particular the driver tabs that connect to the physical panel have failed and there is no way to repair them.
The only soloution is to replace the entire panel, a cost that would be close to if not more then a new TV of the same size.
I would put it on Ebay for parts (powerboard, logic board etc), and use the money towards it's replacement.

I bought a computer gateway dual core and I plug

control panel - display - settings There is a slide bar on the lower left. slide it to the left and click apply. That will change the size of the display so all you need to do is find out what you like or what the 'native mode' is if you have a lcd monitor. That is the display size it want to have and should be show in the manual.

You may also want to click on advanced which will be to the right of that slide and then makre sure the display adapter has the right drivers. You may want to download and install the drivers directly from the manufacturers website. sometime windows update will install a update and it just doesn;t quite work so best to get the one from the factory if that is the case. Also make sure the monitor is in there correctly. Most major brands will let you download a inf file and make sure the only selections available are those that the monitor can safely handle.
