Model # HH100 Homelite Torpedo Heater
It sounds like either the photocell or control board is defective and you aren't going to like the solution. There is not much way to troubleshoot the electronic components without DESA's HA1170 diagnostic tool. The new style heaters are akin to the new style cars- Put the new part on and see if it fixes the problem.
But, don't rule out that you have a slight air pump adjustment problem, which is causing the flame to be off-color, which will cause the photocell to shut the heater down. By quickly grounding the photocell terminals, you are merely tricking the system

Spark plug will not unite
If this is one of those liquid fuel heaters, change the nozzle, the filter, and clean the pump strainer. Bleed the air out of the fuel line by opening the small nipple (in the fuel line on the side of the pump) while attempting to start it until the fuel comes out clear and not sudsy, then close the nipple if the appliance had run out of fuel prior to you attempting to start it There's no spark plug in it, but a 10,000 volt ignitor.

Need a new roter complete
r your fingers in the pump the wrong way there not square and have to b in right or they don't spin don't force good luck
Have an rlp30 reddy heater, have spark and gas but will not light.
wile red button is pushed no flame or turns off when the button is released the flame dies ? if no flame tank is too small or spark isn't in far enough to catch gas . if flame is present with button down then the over heat switch on the in line thermal coupler could b bad u can check the over heat switch with a jumper between the two wires and if it stays lit you got it if it goes out then its the thermal coupler that's bad
Need to replace fuel tank has a hole in it
go to auto parts store they have apoxy patch just for patching fuel tanks.. its a special patch material.. not to exspecive.. i have used it many times..

Wont start
Change the CAD flame sensor, it's a $3 part and they are all the same, just the mounting is different. Put it on your mount and sould be fine.
