capacitors are unexpensive, can be obtained in almost any electronics store or even pulled out from any other piece of electronics, if it matches the specs of yours; you need to have the specs for the original capacitor To have it replaced, the repairman has to be skilled and careful while removing the soldering of the older one and most careful installing the replacement I have had capacitors replaced in mother boards and if done with care, they back to working status total cost of repair is low

I had one of those and it was so out dated can't get parts. My battery burnt out and could not find a replacement.

I'am leaning towards the battery as the problem, but it would be worth while to check that the charger is putting out a voltage before you commit to a battery, a quick test by a repair shop is worth the time.

This was manufactured in 1999 - this makes it at least 17 years old. If I were you, I would wish it a happy retirement, and replace it with a more up-to-date camcorder with better optics, a digital image capture system, and which is far lighter in weight and more portable.

RCA 4462 is actually the catalogue number for a vinyl LP by Brian Auger - are you sure you have quoted the correct model number ?

This question leads me to wonder are u using a surge protector. Do keep the antenna grounded directly to your television.Too many signals cause interference.
