The chain on the MX500
Is there a chain adjustment on this bike? It must be very loose to slip over the sprocket. See if there are two bolts that act as jacks to move the rear wheel back away from the drive sprocket. Loosen the locking nuts on each bolt, and tighten both equally until there is only 1/2 inch of play in the middle of the chain, then repost.

CAN I PUT TRAINING WHEELS ON THIS BIKE FOR MY SON?
kdmouse81,
The simple, literal answer is yes, because you can put training wheels on anything. But you probably want to know if they are readily available. No, they aren't. This is a bad, dangerous idea. For his own safety, he should learn how to balance a manual bike before he tries to ride a powered bike. If he has a disability that prevents him from riding a manual bike, I suggest helping him to ride this razor (or a manual bike) by holding it upright for him and trotting along with him. When he can balance well enough, turn on the power.
I just replaced the battery, but cannot get power.
If you have replaced the 3 batteries inside and properly charged them overnight for 18 hours check to see if you have every connector plugged properly. IF you still have no power possibly the control modulator has failed. Is your throttle lighting up when you activate the switch? You can also check to see if the switch itself is working with a voltage meter. Leaving the bike outside in the rain can damage the MX500.
Rear
wheel does not turn
The problem is witht he flywheel on the rear wheel assembly. I had mine fixed by a professional last night (at a bike store). Razor uses a very cheap spring that is designed to fail and then to top that off did not use enough bearings as well (12 bearings short out of the factory). My son had also sprayed WD-40 all around the back axle (trying to make it faster). This is bad because, the bearings are packed in grease and WD-40 is a de-greaser. Never get WD-40 anywhere near your back axle!!! Anyway, the flywheel was way easier to remove than I thought. It is threaded onto the rim's axle shaft and just screws off. Once you get the flywheel, off you have to take it apart, fabricate a new spring (my son's new spring came from an old 10 speed's tensioning spring), reset the 3 pawls, repack the bearings, put the flywheel back together, and screw it back onto the wheel. I will post a YouTube video on this later. Hopefully this is enough info to get you started.
My razor mx500 is not
Look hard for loose wires. Start with the on off switch. Make sure all are plugged up. The fuse should be accessible without taking things apart. Water is a major enemy of the solid state box the wires go into before they go to the battery.
How do i change the rear tier of my razor mx350?
I would take it to a shop only because the tire has to be on almost perfect so there is no wobble. They have the proper equipment to make sure it is aligned properly. If you are going to go around 40-50 mph alignment is critical.Even jumping moguls and turning alignment is critical.
The chain keeps coming off of my daughters MX500.
The chain usually comes off because it is not tight enough or the chain is not aligned correctly with the sprockets. Check the chain tensioner to see if it is keeping the chain tight and not moving even though it is tight, if it loosens, replace the tensioner. Check the chain for any broken or worn spots or links, if any are found replace the chain.
My son's Razor Electric dirt bike's rear sprocket
Hello,
Thanks for using FixYa.
The pawls inside the free-hub (or freewheel) are gunked up (technical
term here...). There is a ratchet mechanism that allows for coasting
(when it disengages) and engages, when you apply force to the wheel. Try
applying some lube to the inside might free this up.
I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.
