Loosen both rear axle nuts, pull wheel back but keep it straight in the frame. retighten bolts

Take it back to Walmart

Change the settings on the fly rod

Stripped freewheel or chain off of gear.

If the serial number is on the frame near the rear axle its May 1958. If the serial number is on the frame under the headbadge its April 1967.

The pawls inside the free-hub (or freewheel) are gunked up (technical term here...). There is a ratchet mechanism that allows for coasting (when it disengages) and engages, when you apply force to the wheel. Try applying some lube to the inside might free this up.
