The solution is that there are two capacitors in the subwoofer amp that need replacing. A qualified electrical repair shop can do this easily for you. If they put it on the oscilloscope, you'll see that the issue is one of two caps :Best solution is to replace both the capacitors. One capacitor is 47 uF/50V, and the other is capacitor is a 100 uF 35V. Voltage (Voltage capacitors) must be of higher capacity, not lower. By putting in slightly bigger capacitors, it will more resilient to dirty power, which I believe is the reason why it went bad in the first place - put these on a proper power surge/filter to protect them.
