First , is this radio new or used ? If it is new I see no dial for talk back and if it is used then was talk back added to it ? Open the radio so you can check out trace side of the radio and look to where the speaker jacks plug in. If you see a resister soldered across them then disconnect it and your talk back is gone,unless you still want it then solder a 220 ohm resister in place of the one you removed. if the radio is out of the box new then it should be adjustable but as I look at the face I see no knob marked as talk back.If you ordered this radio and asked for talk back on a seperate switch then which one ? look at it and make the call as to which wires to cut and do it .

you cut the wires trim off some plastic and attach a spst switch on both wires.

its kind of late now but if it were my radio I would have a tech repair it and double check out any other problems the radio might have while he has it apart.

all you people that have no right to use ham radios should get your license so you don't have to ask dum ash questions like this.

have you tried it on all bands? still won't transmit?take it to a tech so they can fix it properly.

does it do his on the other bands also? Check your heat sinks in the area to see if they are also hot.the hottest one is probably going to be the culprit .Now find out what is on the sink and back step from there until you find out why that sink is getting hot.

cut back on the power,turn up the modulation and you should be good.

if its still under warrentee then send it back to where it was made. If not send it to a place like Bells cb in Fl. or another reputable shop. Inquire with them before you send it to them and they will tell you how to send it.

two are for power ,the third is a ground. be sure to have a fuse in both wires.

turn it down to 1 may 1.5 watts and turn modulation up 95% and add a 500 watt liner to it and you are in business.

open the fuse holder in the back of the radio get the number off it. It will probably be a 5 amp fuse but whatever ,replace it with the same one.

do you have a ham license? when you purchase it they sometimes ask for proof .

check the obvious first. Is the mic plugged in and tightened all the way. Yes , take the bottom cover off and turn up the variable closest to the small transformer. Thats the modulation variable and the modulation transformer. If you still have a problem take it to a tech and let him fix it .

hmmm my money is on a cold or several cold solder points,, start checking the legs on the PLL first...

you have hooked it up backwards. You blew the polarity protection diode. It needs to be replaced.

Since the RCI 6900 is a 10 meter ham radio, and not desogned for the 11 meter band, when you had it modified, you also expanded the PLL chip past it's normal use. 10 Meter radios are not designed for CB use ( and of course this is also illegal ) so the PLL does drift. There is no real fix on this problem. Sorry
