Just pour some drops of the aromatic oils onto the water in the container immediately before starting to vacuum.

Make sure you're getting power from the canister to the hose, if so and no power at the end of the hose you may need a new hose. If you're getting power at the end of the hose check the connections in the wands or power lines all the way down to the power nozzle depending on which model you have.

It could be the reset is detecting a problem with the brush roll or motor or something causing a restriction. It could be that the reset button needs replaced.

Sounds like the bearing need to be replaced . If y keep using the unit it will wear down your motor brushes. If you find a good authorized rainbow service center. It should not cost you to much. You should not need to replace the motor or Rainbow.

Twist of stem from bottom, if excessive calcium or mineral deposits you can soak in vinegar. Keep hole in stem clean. Do not use harsh chemicals on any rainbow products it will compromise the materials. Vinegar should work.

There is no reset button on the canister. It may be a bad power switch, a power cord, or the button that presses in when you put the water basin in place may be bad - or the prong on the water basin that pushes that button in when you place the canister on the basin may be broken off.

Try putting a rubber gasket in the connection or go to your hardware store to get an adapter

This really depends on what Rainbow you have and which Aquamate you are using. There really is not an adapter for the Aquamate. The newest aquamate out there is for the E2 type 12 black that came out in 2012. There is a modification of this aquamate to fit older E series vacuums (comes with a cord) , but you will need to have an electrified hose made for water pick up to use.
