Some of the e-series has a corrugated filter in the top section. To get to it, remove the clear plastic panels that are the sides. Most have 3 screws on each side to move, then the top half will come loose. There also is filter on the back, there is a door to remove to get to it.

Hi, there is no reset button on a Rainbow vacuum.

All SE series vacuums have a built in thermal and load fuse on the motor, and if it blew, it has to be replaced, or wired directly, with out it on there.
Motor brushes are usually the source of a non working Rainbow D4 and SE and all model Rainbow vacuums and when they burn out, they usually take the motor armature with them, from excessive heat and flare electrical arking to the armature. It is probably the thermal and load fuse, that is your problem, if you did not smell any electric burning type of smell, before it quit. It could be the power switch, but not as likely as the fuse. I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Rainbow E Series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum. The Rainbow latch can be replaced but I believe it is a pop rivet that holds and replaces the old latch and to replace the new latch, I have seen it done but if you don’t have the right tools you may want to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area, it can be done. Hi, there is no reset button on a Rainbow vacuum. There is a safety switch on all E series and E2 series Rainbow vacuums, that keep it from running without the water basin on it.

Be sure and never store on water basin, keep separator and seal on bottom of rainbow clean. Keep your beater bar clean. You should be good for many many years.

The two speed model has a rectifier that most likely needs replaced.

The belt is stretched and does not have enough friction to keep the roller running on a carpet surface.

The separator doesn't filter the water. It allows air to go through the machine but not the water. It "separates" the air and water, hence the name.

If it works on slow but not on high you probably have a bad PC board. The E2 is prone to board failures. take it to you local vac shop fro assessment.

If you sucked suds or liquid into the motor it may have damaged the motor.
