Do you by chance have a DSS cordless phone that is interfering? Normally these should work well up to over a hundred feet for sure. Try swapping channels on the intercom units and keep away from metal (Like a refrigerator) and motors.

so you learn a lesson, the first thing to do is get the paper work together and pack it up and bring it back for credit. my advice is any time you decide to buy anything it is wise to go in the internet and get a review of what ever you are buying you'll have a better idea of what to buy.

There may be issues with the unit or the source of the signal. The scanner may have lost its sensitivity. There are a lot of articles on the unit about programming etc. The problem is that it takes special equipment to test the front end of the receiver. Check if message retrieval works with a landline phone. If that works, then either the tones generated by your cellph are too far off frequency, or the cell network is filtering out or compressing too much of the tones.

I had this problem to the only stereo rca input I could find was the top red and white. Everything else is mono, I'm currently working with 1.so if you have any advice please let me know.

Wow, that's a real oldie -- circa 1981. To program it:
1. Power the scanner ON.
2. Press MANUAL .
3. Select the channel that you wish to program. You can do this by repeatedly pressing the MANUAL key, or enter the desired channel (01 - 20) followed by the MANUAL key.
4. Press PROGRAM.
5. Enter the desired frequeny, including the decimal point (e.g., 156.55).
6. Presto ENTER.
7. To program more frequencies, press PROGRAM and then repeat steps 2 through 6.
