Soap dispenser

If you use a program without prewash, the machine will not flush the prewash chamber in the drawer.

WD 9900 does not dry

Most all dryers, including combo washer/dryers, have an electric wire coil for a heating element. I suspect yours has given up ( they usually break in two, stopping the electrical flow). You should need to have the element replaced. Going to need to take the whole machine apart to fix this. Be blessed.

Hotpoint BWD129 1200 spin - unwanted drying cycles

This is more a workaround than a solution. When you choose the washing programme (say "D") and push the on/off button, two lights will flash, the "door locked" and the "drying" one. Now turn the "drying programme" button until the "drying" light stops flashing (in my case, this is true when I set the drying programme to 40°C). Then start the washing mashine.

Seems like the function of the drying programme button has shifted against the settings written on the button...don't ask me why! Of course, no guarantee but works for me. Please let me know if it does for you.

Washer/dryer filer cover is broken need replace

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but this Forum does not supply parts, part numbers, prices or other details direct; it's just made up of ordinary guys and gals, probably at home, from all over the world, with experience of addressing problems and giving guidance for free on the web. We do not represent any manufacturer ;-0)
Spares Suppliers
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer spares' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can order. Alternately you could try telephone directories for spares suppliers but I would think the former would be more successful.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint BDW 12 wont hold on a spin or dry cycle

Dear sheridan pet,

A lot of TIMERS just get to much gunk in them!
With the OLD TIMERS you could open it up and spray it with a can of electrical cleaner (same as they sell for computers) and a lot of the time it would fix the problem!
This may also work on your circuit boards in a new appliance just be sure to read and follow the directions carefully!
I recommend Radio Shack for advice & purchase!
Cost about $10.
I'd open it up and if nothing else obvious look broke I'd buy a can of cleaner and give it a try!
Good Luck!

Where to buy Quieltine Parts?

Thor washer dryer has parts. Google them and go to their website. They have a number for support. You usually have to leave a message but they do call back.

Dryer does not cool down

Hi,

Check all vents and clean the filters.

There should be a blower fan inside that circulates the air when the heating element is on.
If the fan is not circulating the air properly, the heat will build up.

There is also a problem of accumulation of lint in the air ducts.

This should be removed.
There are numerous occurances of similar problems to yours resulting in fires, due to excess heat and lint build up.

PLEASE be aware of the safety issue in resolving this.

Thanks.

Misplaced faucet adaptor

They're odd ball since they're metric on the washer side. Best bet would be to google Thor washers. They sell quietline parts.

Also, if there is a cheaper alternative source... their tech support guy doesn't mind suggesting it. He sent me to auto parts store for a main belt for mine... worked fine...

Quietline dryer does not work!

If you're gonna get a new washing machine, its best not to consider a washer dryer as they tend to have a lower and shorter life span. Best thing is, if you really have to get a washer dryer, or a washing machine, try bosch. They really are the best
