Volume control
Try to boot into Safe Mode (windows 7: press F8 on boot, or Win10: start: type msconfig, enter, then boot tab: [x] Safe boot, press enter). It will be more successful more often in Safe Mode, but whether you can get into Safe Mode or not, click Start, type System Restore, press enter. (You may have to go to System Properties: System Protection tab, then System Restore.) When you restore to a previous restore point, you may find the weirdness to go away. If your problems are due to malware having been installed, you may have to choose restore points further and further back in your restore point history until you get back to before the malware, then the badness goes away. System Restore does not affect your data, only the Windows files.

I found a joystick like this but I am unsure
hi there, my way of doing this is to look at the box and see what the requirements are for it to work. If one of the requirements doesn't meet your system, then the joystick may not work.
