Two questions: 1. How do I

Here are the answers to your two questions: Changing the Scale for Printing a Floor Plan: To change the scale when printing a floor plan, you'll need to adjust the print settings in the software you're using to view or design the floor plan. Generally, the steps involve: Open the floor plan in your software. Go to the Print setup or Page setup menu. Look for an option that lets you adjust the scale. This could be under a 'Scaling', 'Page Sizing', or 'Fit to Page' option. Select the desired scale. For instance, you might choose to print at a scale of 1:100, which means 1 unit in the drawing represents 100 units in real life. If you want a specific size, some software allows you to enter custom scales. Ensure that the scale matches your needs for real-world application. Preview the print to see if it fits your requirements before final printing. Printing the Grid Displayed on a Floor Plan: To print a grid that is displayed on your floor plan, you need to ensure that the print settings are configured to include the grid. Often, the grid is used for reference while designing but is not set to print by default. Here's how you can try to print it: Go to the software's Print or Page Setup settings. Look for an option that mentions 'Gridlines', 'Display options', or similar. Check the box or select the option to include gridlines in the print. Some software might require you to adjust the visibility settings of the grid within the workspace or layout settings before it appears as an option to print. Preview the page to make sure the grid appears as you want it on your printed document. If you need more specific instructions, I could provide more detailed guidance based on the specific software you're using (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Reader for PDFs, etc.). more information here: https://floorplanmapper.com/office-seating-chart-software/ office seating chart software-ckl42jbkabmezlt0vpxnwubz-d-0.jpg

Software will not load on windows 7

Your best option is to start with the software supplier.I have used some of the older versions of this software and I was not all that impressed as i too had some issues but more to do with printing and the C&P functions. You dont say which version of windows 7 home basic, home, pro etc.BUT windows 7 does have a compatibility mode that does allow you to run a program as if it was running under XP, Vista etc. you may want to explore that optionGo to the windows HELP option and type in "program compatability"From there you should be able to get along and see if the program needs anything else or will run under a particular mode. Note that you may have to try more than one mode until you find one that works.

Unable to import/export my 3D floor plans.

Check these answers / Options 1 - Upgrade Hardware You don't describe your video card and processor specs however, there are some basic parameters - If you have an onboard video card you can't upgrade just the video card, because it is an integrated unit, but you can update all the drivers - In my opinion, onboard video cards and chipsets(almost all of them) have low performance for rendering purposes - In my experience, just a better video card doesn't solve the issue--> you'll need a good "render set"--> good processor (2.6 GHz or up)+ plenty of memory (4 Gb or up) + a good videocard (512 Mb or up). 2 - Punch files - If you are working with a heavy file, including lots of furniture, topo, etc, you should upgrade the hardware elements, but the issue is more related with the file - If you have a slow performance with any Punch file (with just a wall, for example), then yes, a hardware upgrade is in order. But even this, will depend of the computer / processor you have. All the elements work together as I stated above 3 - Tips - Click on the pencil/plan icon (depending of your versions) at the top of the LiveView window (Render and Navigation Options). Clicking on the different icons you can disable temporarily the lights or 3D objects, or topo etc. This will speed the rendering during the working process - Use View--> Render Clear view--> use this during the elaboration time - Try to apply the 3d objects (cabinets, furniture, etc) and topography at last - You can turn off the "Undo" feature--> Edit--> Undo preferences. This will speed your work. Just remember to save frequently (because this step deactivates the autosave for backup feature) - To get a good Punch performance, close other programs, including the e-mail. Perhaps, other programs are using resources otherwise required in Punch. Also I'd suggest that you try Pat's Training e-book for more resources

My software will NOT download.

The download could be broken. Do you know the speed of your internet connection, and the size of the file?
