I have Princeton lcd vl1919 dead monitor

well the 1117l is a power rating of 1,2 volts 800ma drop out from 13.8 volts, so is there 13.8 volts power any were on the board, if the power drops to lower that 11.8 volts it will not turn on as is got a 1.2v drop by itself so would make it 10.6 volts not including other diodes on the board can become lower. so the regulating volts is 13.8 volts. power supply will be 15 to 16 volts or can be high depending on manufacturer spec's for country. board number can help determine the area of manufacture.

PC flat screen monitor to DVD player hook-up

I have had the monitor plugged into my HP laptop.

Depending on which version of windows you have the directions may be slightly different but in the display settings check to see if it is set to extend the display or to duplicate the display both do very different things. Hopefully adjusting this will correct your issue. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/larry_1fe25e09c54eece2

possible that the video card has packed it in and is not responding for duel monitors you could always try going to control panel , display section and check the settings of both monitors and the drivers for both monitors to check the problem monitor change the setting from main display from the good unit to make the other monitor the main display it should change over and the first monitor will then go bad
