Tried pulling on battery cover and it won't come off. How much force is needed, as I'm afraid to break it?

While pulling up on the cover, gently press on the battery box sides to determine if detents are holding the cover on. One a detent is pressed away, the cover should come up. Ensure no connectors are holding the pieces of the battery box together.

Speed control on Pride Hurricane

hi, the speed control could be faulty, see if you can spray some Wd40 or contact cleaner in the gap and see if that improves things...is it the one with the snail , rabbit speed sign ? one bar on the indicator does imply low battery power ...is it flashing ? if it is then that's a fault condition Regards Rob www.gewizrepairs.co.uk

Wheels- knocking noise in the right wheel

Hi. If the knocking noise happens with each revolution of the wheel, it is probably the square key in the axle that drives the wheel. Remoce the wheel and wipe a light smear of grease on the axle and key where it fits inside the wheel. As the wheel normally rotates, the weight comes on to the key and off again, causing the noise. The grease allows it to move without making the noise. Sometimes also caused by a stone in the tread, but most likely to be a dry key.Good luck. Neil.

My gogo elite traveller wont chrage. The charging light isnt on when i plug the scooter in.

Sounds your batteries are to low in voltage for the charger to recognize. Also check the fuse on the battery box, normally a red one 10amps.

Green light flashing 9 times

sounds like you are sitting on some of the wiring or connectors, take it apart like you did to fit batteries and check there are no wires shorting out or connector is being squashed, check as you put it back together, you should sort it that way. the error code should be: 9 BARS: The parking brakes have a bad connection or have a failed solenoid, or any lever or switches that disconnect drive for pushing the chair manually may be pulled or switched. so check these wires and connectors closely first. but please note that with out the make and model the error code is the most lightly posability.

My gogo ultra is showing fully charged and horn beeps, when i put key in it beeps fast 10 times and 5 beeps after

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

How do I recharge the battery tried replaceing the fuses but it will not charge

the charging fuse on these is internal inside the battery box 1 carry out a continuity test in this blade fuse for open circuit 2 while open check battery volts is over 11 volt or scooter will drive=o/k if lower will need batteries replaced. 3.make sure your charger is the correct one for this scooter as go go chargers conector are wired different .so a standard mobility charger wont charge these,as there will be no 24volt at pins 1 and 3 ,

The gears are stuck

Try and gently rock your scooter backwards and forwards as you are trying to move the lever this can help. spray a little wd40 on where the lever connects to the motor. If this doesn't help then the electric brake has ceased and needs an engineer to sort.

Electric shocks when sat on scooter and someone

This is probably due to "static" electricity discharging from the rider to earth via the person who touched you. Static is often caused by the clothes you wear (especially man made fabrics like nylon). Try fitting a discharge strip ( like you see on the back of cars) to the scooter or change the type of chothing you wear (wool or cotton does not cause static to build up)

I got my battery pack off my Gogo Traveller Elite scooter. But the batteries are encased in plastic and I don't see a way to get them out. Help?

Turn the battery pack up side down and you will see holes around the outside of the case. With a long (12") Philips screw driver, remove 8-10 screws. carefully turn the pack back on it feet and the lid will come off. Be careful with the wires inside the battery pack and make a note of where they go.
