Have you made sure the connectors to the batteries a fully clicked in? I had similar problem with mine, the casing had caught on one & moved one battery terminal clamp, this was after me going over a pot hole. Hope this helps

Hi it's possible the control box down timer was activated check if freewheel lever is in drive remove key & wait a few minutes replace key & turn on cheers.

faulty voltmeter and /or bad batteries have the batteries load tested to eliminate them then replace the voltmeter in reality it should be showing a reduction in volts available as the batteries run down form use as an example fully charged batteries 12 or 13 volts go for a trip around the block and as you go the meter should start reading a lesser voltage as you are going or a reduced voltage at each stop

Five beeps? Maybe it's not the same as my Celebrity XL8 but my instruction manual talks of a 1+4 beep warning meaning low battery charge. It also suggests checking that the wiring harness connectors are all fully connected - that would include the battery terminals of course. If your hubby managed to do a wheelie this sounds a strong possibility if the batteries were dislodged. Anyway, I attach the page from my Celebrity XL8 manual, you can find other Celebrity manuals online. My congratulations to your husband, I've yet to master wheelies!

The error code suggests a problem with the power module motor 1 output to the brake or a problem with the motor 1 brake. You can swap the motor leads to see whether the problem is in the module or brake.

Some good advice here. If nothing works it could be that the hidden main fuse has blown, (one cause might be shorting the XLR three pin charger socket by getting it wet or a faulty charger connection. The hidden high amp fuses that Pride doesn't tell you about are under the main floor mat and trapdoor. First disconnect the batteries then remove the large central floor mat. (if you have trouble refitting it later glue it back using clear silicone bath sealent nscrew and remove the hatch lid and very carefully locate the fuse box containing two high amp standard car fuses, check and if nessary replace the blown one with the same amperage rating

it may need new seals, they get crapped up with oxidation, this stops the piston retracting and they bind on.

You don't want to do that ever. You will have no way to stop the scooter. You will cause damage to your scooter, yourself and others. Go to Pride's website and find out how much a new brake assy is.
