Precor Error 30, 31, 32 and 33, Communications Error
Probable Cause
1. Bad interconnect cable between upper PCA and lower PCA.
2. Interconnect cable is mistakenly plugged into the CSAFE connector at the upper PCA.
3. Elliptical 5.17 equipped with old software version 1.01 in upper and lower PCA.
4. Upper and lower PCAs have mismatched software.
5. Another component plugged onto the PCA is overloading the +5VDC power supply.
6. Bad lower PCA.
7. Bad upper PCA.
Corrective Action
Test unit with a know good interconnect cable or test the interconnect cable for continuity. Replace interconnect cable if necessary.
Disconnect the interconnect cable from the CSAFE connector and attach to the proper position on the upper PCA.3.
Replace the upper and lower software of the 5.17 elliptical with the most current versions.4.
If one of the PCAs is found to have software version 1.01, replace it with the most current software version.
Disconnect all components from the upper and lower PCA leaving the data cable connecting between the upper and lower PCAs and the AC power going to the lower PCA. If the unit shows any error other than the error 3x, reconnect components one at a time. Reset power between each newly connected component until the error 3x reappears. Whichever component was last connected when the error 3x reappears, is the cause for the error. Replace the faulty component.
Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace the lower PCA if necessary.
Test unit with a known good upper PCA. Replace the upper PCA if necessary.
If it can be recharged it needs to be but only on a trickle charge over a lone time even a week at very low amps like 1 or 2 no more than 6 amps good luck

Precor Error 50, Too Much Brake (Magnet) Current
Probable Cause
1. Shorted or damaged wiring between the lower PCA and the eddy current magnet is the most common cause for this error.
2. Bad eddy current magnet.
3. Bad lower PCA.
Corrective Action
Thoroughly inspect the eddy current wiring and connections ensuring that the wires are not shorted to the frame or shorted together. Repair or replace damaged wiring as necessary.
Disconnect the wires from the eddy current magnet. Using an ohm meter, check for approximately 100 ohms across the eddy current magnet terminals. If the reading is considerably low, replace the eddy current magnet. Measure ohms between each eddy current magnet terminal and the frame ground. You should have no resistance between the eddy current magnet terminal and the frame ground. If resistance is present this would indicate a partial short, replace the eddy current magnet.
If the eddy current magnet wiring and the eddy current magnet are both good from the above tests, replace the lower PCA.
Hi There,
Precor uses a pair of Triacs to drive the lift up and down. These triacs live on the lower board but are driven by the upper console commands via a serial link between the upper and lower. Most precor lift issues we see are related to the lower board but with Precor it could be an upper board or the CPU Chip that resides on the lower board or a failed Triac. Good Luck
Proform Treadmill Incline Problem Fixed
pLEASE Test fo 120 vac forward and backward
2) if there are voltages coming from controller boad motor the inclination motor is fault or capacitor
3) If there are not the controller board motor is fauty
3) However are some treadmill working with relais see if this relais are coming up in the respective board, if Do not see if there some fuse faulty and replace, if there are good the board is faulty for incline motor.

However if you machine use battery replace the batteries by Alkaline type, cleant the contacts spring with contact cleaner electronics.

If you are using Electrical power coming from outlet box 110vac, The Power supply inside is defective. Or if you are using batteries, has the same problem with the converter-power supply, Repair or replace.

Is very simple. Under the console or display, are some small cover , Press the small tab and you will 2 spring where is located the batteries.
Put some contacts cleaner for electronic, before to assemblies the batteries.
