My eg2800 generator is putting out 150 volts, why
Loaded circuit or open circuit? If loaded, brushes need cleaning before buying parts. Check manual for procedure on your model. The brushes are usually culprit. Make sure cleaned and tension springs are free. Use compressed air to clean out armature area where brushes located. Re install and test. If better but not fixed replacement brushes may be needed. If open ckt voltage is high this could be normal. Suggest you email product support to be sure.
ENGINE CUTS OUT, AS NOT CHARGING BATTERY.HOW DO I
you will require access to the end of the alternator from the drawings on the pramac site the alternator looks like it could be made by mec alte spa if so there are spec sheets on their site for the alternators, remove the end cover of the alternator and there should be a bridge rectifier in there which will need testing also the spec sheet should give the resistance of the coils so you can check them you will need info from the data plate on the alternator, if it is mec alte spa then find your product

Taking apart
The internals of the generator have to be removed and you'll need a gear puller to seperate the engine from the generator housing because they're pressed together. It can be a pain in the neck. There's videos on you tube on how to do it

How do i align the timing gear on my perkins dk
Timing gears? have you pulled it that far apart? On timing gears there are usually stamped onto the gears a small dot. lign them up. Not sure why tore down so far? If you take off the diesel pump align the timing marks in the small window plate first else you will be in a mess.
Stop failure alarm on genset
1: Check if the alarm is stopped, a, low oil pressure b, high water temperature c, overspeed, etc.;
2: Check if it is overloaded, whether the inlet and outlet pipes are unblocked
3: Check if the parts are broken or loose, and check if the fuel tank is short of oil.
4: Check if the fuel injection pump is damaged
5: Check the speed sensor, electronic speed control board, actuator, etc.
My generator it's not starting
FIRST THINGS FIRST. VENTILATED AREA,FRESH GAS, OIL LEVEL. IF ITS BEEN SITTING FOR MORE THAN 2-3 MONTHS
THE CARBURETOR IS SUSPECT TO HAVE VARNISH PLUGGING JETS. START THERE. DARIN

ELECTRICITY PRESENTS BUT GENERATOR START IN AUTO MODE
You have the remote control wires incorrectly connected either at the ATS or on the generator control panel, disconenct from both ends and ohm them to make sure they are not shorted between. Then reconnect them at the generator end only. Then join them together manually, of the gen starts and stops when taken apart, the problem is in the transer switch, or incorrect terminated
Where is the rpm sensor on a genset generator
The distance between the sensor and the diesel generator flywheel is too far or too close (generally this distance is approximately 2.5 + 0.3 mm). If the distance is too far, it may not be able to sense the signal. If it is too close, it may damage the working surface of the sensor. Due to the high-
speed operation of the flywheel, radial (or axial) turbulence occurs. The distance is too close to pose a great threat to the safety of the sensor. It has been found that several working faces of the probe have been scratched. According to practical experience, the distance is generally about 2mm, which can be measured with a feeler gauge.
Motor unit runs but no
Hi,
If a generator sits unused for a long enough time the generator magnets will loose their power and need to be "flashed" or recharged so that the generator will start to work again...
Here is an interesting discussion about that...

Here is another way to do it..
