Check fuse. If there is an indicator, instrument or light, on the output, check what it says. Loose contact is a possibility.

Pramac S7500 turns over but will not start and stay running
Check for low oil level. If level is OK, check low oil level sensor. Disconnect the wire to test.

My homelite generator always starts on the first pull. i start and run it every month with no problems. its three years old and i have change gas every year to keep it fresh and i use a stablizer too.
Sounds like a blocked pilot jet in the carby. Forget the chemical just poke it with something fine.
