Driver memory stick

W 7 First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps: Click "Start" button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar and press "Enter". Click "Continue" if necessary. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK". Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically. for XP or earlier Click start right click on computer select properties device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X you will need to update/reinstall drivers right click to reinstall drivers if you can see your usb drive but its not working ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem Check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts if you need more help with this or if i have missed the problem post a reply

This is device manager error. It means One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner. My windows 7 laptop suddenly

You will need to recover the data using something like this data recovery program. http://www.asoftech.com/adr/I've had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files. Good luck.

same here. As long as what I've got hooked up does what I want it to do, I just ignore it. I say that if it's not affecting your computer's performance, then just leave it alone.

Whenever i open my usb on a computer it

You don't. They are write once, read many. They sealed once they are burned. Use DVDR-RW. These are rewritable.

My pqi usb 8G can not be opened it requests me to reformat ...my usb has lot of files i can not open please help

Do not try to change, download or do anything to the USB media. Lookfor an online program that can recover lost or deleted files from aN USB FLASH DEVICE. OR, take it to a computer expert who has a program to recover those files. Shouldn't cost very much.

Why i cant copy files to hdd external (pqi h567v)?

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start or you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive hope this helps
