What is the problem when the car is just sitting overnight and there's no power on anything the next day?

When you are sure you have a good battery and the voltage regulator works fine, I should think there is something eating power during the time you switched off. Years and years ago sometime a car radio was connected wrong and would not switch off when the contact was off. Now you should disconnect the battery when you switched of and use a huge ampere meter DC to see if and if so what current is "leaking" away If there is no current, then check the barrery and the voltage regulator.

Powerware5115 will not switch on

A weak or dead battery pack its the main reason of a unresponsive/good health UPS, but never forget to test the electric cord, the fuse and the protective relay.first, this sounds too simple, but thats a common fault. Battery pack must have at least 5 volts with half amp of current to power up the UPS internal relays, giving electric power to the main switch. To rise the 12/24 DC volts to 115/120 AC volts, the UPS uses some electronic components (semiconductors) called MOSFETS , and sometimes, blown (browned) MOSFETS on the electric board are the most desastrous cause of a unresponsive (completely dead) or faulty UPS. (I remember that some time ago I see a TRIPP LITE SMART 1500LCD UPS with twelve blown MOSFETS, when happened, that kind of fault must be saw like a little volcano!). If you know how to take all the safety electric measures, and how to use a portable voltmeter, you can test the voltage/amperage on the battery pack, the electric cord and the replaceable fuse (if has any). Basic and intermediate electronic knowledge is necessary to test MOSFETS and other electronic components on the circuit board.

Ups says bypass unavailable

This happens a lot. Your input power lines fluctuate a lot from time to time. You get lags and sags and spikes on the power line. The UPS is just telling you this. Nothing you can do about that. Your UPS is operating normally. You don't really want to put the UPS into bypass during one of these fluctuations do you?

I have a UPS AROS Sentinel 4 that does not charge my newly installed batteries. It is always on bypass and failes after removing the 220VAC.

You should call your local service rep. Any standard UPS will fail on Bypass, as the system is designed that way. Some systems when running will revert to inverter from Bypass but not many. They usually have an "Economy Mode" setting. Some UPS systems require a soft or hard reset after any service Involving loss of all power to the electronics, this may be the problem, but it is more likely there is an inverter fault. Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa Vote for this if you like it.
