if you have a 12 volts ac/dc adapter you can hook the 3 wires Black for negative, Red and yellow for positive and the stereo will turn on.

How am I going to connect it to my car,Im

it's like a battery. you run it in parallel (run power from battery + to capacitor + then from capacitor + to ampplifier +) battery, capacitor, and amp each has its own ground (black or -). you don't need a remote wire. it only stores electricity until the amplifier needs extra juice (so your headlights won't dim).

Make sure the yellow wire is going to a source that is still hot when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory and must have voltage going to it all of the time.

The only way mine will come on is if i connect the

Hi,

This is a car audio video unit
So to connect this unit electrically, they usually require 3 wires for power for it to switch on.
  • The thick black wire is a earth or negative wire, which connects to the negative side of the battery or to the body of the car.
  • Then there is a red and yellow wire.
  • The thicker of the 2 wires red or yellow is constant 12volt power, which should be connected to the positive side of the battery or to constant 12volts in the car wiring plug.
  • The other red or yellow which is the thinner of the 2 is a accessory wire, which means it has 12 volt power only when you turn the key to accessory or motor running.
  • So yes both RED and YELLOW require power for the unit to be on .
  • This is for radio station presets so it doesn't loose memory when you turn the key off, otherwise every time you turn the key you would have to store your stations again.

I hope this helps you.
If so please leave a vote or comment.

Have a great day

I have two different sets

Depending on the PA FUBAR you have. The voice coil on those subs are DVC. Dual Voice Coil. You need to know a couple things. What kind of amp are you going to run on it. And what is the resistance (OHM) rating of each voice coil. MY two 12's are dual 4 ohm. Meaning that there are essentially 4 speakers to hook up. My amp currently is not 2 ohm stable in bridged. So what I did is run each speaker in parallel (red2red,black2black) then run to the box terminal. So now the dual 4 ohm voice coils are basically 2 ohm. I have 2 speakers. Now I hook the box up in series. To bring the now two 2 ohm speakers into one 4 ohm speaker. This is called series/parallel setup. My amp sees this box as 1 channel @ 4ohms. The downfall to this is the output of the amp is divided up into each speaker. So instead of sending all 1400 watts to one sub. I will send 700 to each sub. But here is a catch. even though each speaker is half the total wattage it will still be 3db louder. Meaning it will be as loud as 1 sub running 1400 watts. To conclude i need to know how many of those subs you are going to run on the amp.. And the model number of the amp so I can match up your wiring.

Ok so ive had this amp for about a year now and

I find that most Amps that does this the transistors nearest the to the B+ side of the Amp is bad. there are anywhere from 4 to 6 a side and if you know anything of these you can check them remove and replace them. I have a different problem. the prower light comes on and the goes off and I am trying to find a schematic to trace down the problem. if I find it I can talk U through it and show pics.

I need to know what

  • You double the watts to the speaker for the channels bridged. This also depends on the Ohms of the speakers being used. The lower the Ohms of the speakers used in relation to the Ohms of the amp also increases the watt output of the amp.

Sounds like going over the tracks might have knocked a wire lose behind the dash. The only way to know would be to take out your head unit to reveal what's behind it. Make sure all the cables are securely fastened and it should work again.

My power acoustic per-007 is

Sounds like you need to run a heavier Gauge wire for power source. If power source wire is too small, you will get a voltage drop. Check your source wire gauge compared to connector on equalizer. You may end up having to run a heavier gauge direct to battery, with fuse link in line. See what the amp requirements are in manual, and make sure wire is heavier than minimal. Example: if 15 amp required, I'd go to 12 gauge minimum, or to be safe 10 gauge. (longer the run, heavier the wire.) Be sure all connections are good as well.
