Replace RJ45 connector
You have to cut off the bad connector, strip the outer sheath about an inch down, untwist the wire pairs and put the wires in the correct slot on a new rj45 connector and use a crimping tool to crimp it. You could also buy a new cable for a couple dollars on monoprice.com.
WILL NOT CALL OUT SAYS TO CHECK ISDN LINE WE ARE NOT USING ISDN LINES WE USE THE INTERNETWhat's your problem?
When you use the internet you are using a connection to your ISP (Internet Service Provider) over some kind of line whether it is a phone line using a modem or a cable for a cable modem. ISDN is just another way that you connect to the internet.
ISDN stands for Integrated Services Digital Network. ISDN is a digital phone connection system and is often used to give you higher and more reliable service. So, what they mean is to call your phone company and ask them to check your line, that is all they mean. Remember, the Internet itself is just a huge set of connections using an unbelievable number of types of connectivity from phone lines to space based relays and how you get there is through whatever line you have set up between you and your ISP. Does that help?

How do I conference call on a Polycom Voicestation 400?
Conference call is not a feature of the phone, but a feature of the telephone system in the company. Usually you press a sequence of keys like flash #02 to trigger this function in the phone system. If your company phone system does not offer the feature then you have to use an external conference call provider.

LCD Display keeps flashing "INITIALIZING"
It needs to be plugged into a properly configured Avaya Definity digital port / wall jack. (NOT a regular telephone line as this can damage the polycom!!!) Does another Avaya digital phone work in that jack? If it does then call polycom for a RMA and eturn the phone under warrenty. If another Avaya digital phone does also does not work you need to check the PBX configuration or there is a wiring error at the jack or the PBX.

What are possible reasons that the conference phone is not getting power?
If you know anyone that can test the power supply with a digital meter, you can check if the power supply works or not. the power control board on the voicestation might have blown. and If that is the case I wouldnt recommending fixing it. Getting a refurbished or used with maybe 3 months to 1 year warranty isnt that expensive on these systems. getting it fix might cost you about the same. But checking if the power supply is working or not would be the first thing you want to do. If that works. looking for a power supply is pretty easy.

I have a polycom soundpoint
There may be two different conditions potentially causing this issue.
If type 1, a.k.a. "normal" Caller ID is turned on through
the local phone service, the name and phone number of the person
calling will be displayed on the SoundPoint Pro's LCD when the phone
rings; or, if you are on the phone and a call comes in on another line
which is not in use.
For the SoundPoint Pro phones to understand the signal from the
carrier, the Caller ID signal should be on the second ring. If your
local phone service sends the Caller ID information on the first ring
the SoundPoint Pro may not receive it and will not display the
information.
Check with your phone company to verify on which ring their signal is being sent.
This is the second.
The SoundPoint Pro phones may display no caller ID or display all
Zeros for the caller ID or only display one number all of the time.
These symptoms are all caused by the same issue, the inability of the
software to overwrite the call history which has become full. This does
not occur in all phones and replacing the phone does not always resolve the issue.
Work Around:
SoundPoint Pro SE-220 and SE-225 have a feature to clear call history.
Incoming or outgoing call history can be cleared by pressing Select then arrowing down to INCOMING CALLS or OUTGOING CALLS then press Select > Clear Call History.
Clearing the Call History should restore the normal function of the Caller ID Display.

BTY, I expect that your unit is faulty, the electret mic's aren't very good, and fail quite a bit, as with all cheap electret's, and also check positioning too, this can make a difference too, make sure nothing is around to reflect the sounds as this is what makes it echo and sound bad, regardless.

Kirk 4040 won't register with
Check the frequency of your unit devices. Usually the fact the frequency devices being on different frequencies is the cause of the inability to register new devices. You can view the frequencies on the label on the devices in question and to view the frequency of most DECT handsets dial *99984* and call. The
frequency on DECT infrastructure is generally printed on the label. Let me know if yo need more help or if I can answer any additional questions for you.
