Persons on the other end can't hear me speak

hi,

go to menu, then admin setup, then diagnostics, you can adjust the mic levels in there, they are 50% by default.

Polycom Soundpoint IP 501 - URL call is disabled

This in it's most basic description means that the phone is unable to register with the SIP server, most likely for lack of internet connectivity or a firewall blocking the packets.

If you've verified connectivity and opened the proper ports and the phone fails to initialize and still getting “URL Call Disabled” or all of the above parameters are correct, update the firmware for the router. This can usually be done within the router configuration. Then reboot in order, the cable modem or DSL, the router or switch, then the phone. This may solve the problem.

If still having the same issue, confirm in the router configuration for settings such as SIP proxy, gateway, or application layer or any configuration setting for SIP or VOIP. If any of these do exist, make sure they are turned off as these may only confuse or adversely affect many implementations.

How to reset the password of polycom hdx 7000

You can use the hardware restore button on the Polycom HDX system to reset the system in one of these ways: • Restoring configuration-Restores the configuration, which resets most system settings to default values. • Factory restore-Completely erases the system and restores it to the software version and default configuration stored in its factory partition. If you follow this procedure while a USB storage device is connected, the system restores from the USB device instead of the system's factory partition. The restore button is on the front of the Polycom HDX 9000 series system, as shown in the following figure. 1.png The restore button is on the front of the Polycom HDX 8000 series, Polycom HDX 7000 series, and Polycom HDX 4000 systems, as shown in the following figure. 2.png The restore button is on the left side of the Polycom HDX 4500 system, behind a wire mesh screen, as shown in the following figure. 3.png Use a paperclip to press the restore button through the wire mesh covering that side of the system. to reset the HDX Series system we can press the restore button over 15 second.
