This is for sure a lcd screen fault ..and the fact that it is still working and opens ..makes me think it is not damaged..but the connection ribbon is probably out of place ..and it do not makes contact well anymore..You will have to open it and plug the ribbons in the place again ..or if it will not came back ..change the ribbon ..or the lcd screen ..The fact that it takes pictures and stores and even allows to download it is a good thing and indicates that nothing is wrong with it ..but the lcd..and the fact that it is lighting up ..means it is not defective ..but does not gets the signal right ..(this is probably the follow of a physical shock ...dropping ...smacking ..or something like that ..)
