A question about Pioneer HTZ-170dvd Please Can I connect it to my laptop computer? If so can you explain how as I'm offered a new one to buy for a good price but I think its very old to run with a pc.

you want to play music or a film on the laptop and run it through the Pioneer HTZ-170DVD Region Free Home Theater System and through speakers? I don't see why not. You would use the audio out on the laptop and connect to the audio input on the Pioneer. If the laptop has HDMI, it is even easier. Here is the manual.

My pioneer pro 151fd TV won't play sound

  1. Check the volume level: Make sure that the volume on the TV is turned up and not muted. You can try increasing the volume level and see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Check the audio connections: Ensure that all the audio cables are properly connected to the TV and the external audio device (if you're using one). Check if the cables are damaged or loose, and try reconnecting them to make sure they're secure.
  3. Check the audio settings: Ensure that the TV is set to output audio through the correct device, whether it's an external soundbar or a home theater receiver. You may need to access the TV's audio settings to adjust this.
  4. Check the external audio device: If you're using an external audio device, ensure that it's properly connected and powered on. Try switching to a different audio input on the device and see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Reset the TV: You can try resetting the TV to its default settings to see if that fixes the issue. Refer to the TV's user manual for instructions on how to reset the TV.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the TV's internal audio components. In this case, you may need to contact Pioneer customer support

Can i download navigation to the double din pioneer AVH- P4000DVD

Sorry but no Navigation Suppourt, however you can use your iPhone or iPod/iPad's Maps or your choice of Navigation App to see Navigation Instructions and Features on Screen, compatible with Android as well. I'll attach a link and a few pics, mo Navigation Suppourt but nearly everything else. No Navigation in Menu or Inputs for Navigation Antenna on Rear with all other inputs. Check it out and see what option you like best. I'd use screen mirroring and go the iPhone route(or android if Apple isn't your preference). Thanks and Good Luck, if this has been helpful please click the icon to let me know it has been and feel free to leave a review or follow me as I answer auto/mechanical/technical questions primarily and may be helpful again. Pioneer XC-HM72-K has stopped. There is no sign of life. It simply stopped one day. I tried different leads but no difference. Can you help me, its out of warranty so I am happy to open it up?

Hello ? I would like to assist you. Kindly confirm you have the right tools to open and maybe a meter to make diagnosis easier. But before that, kindly tell me if the output speakers were working properly before the machine went completely silent.

I have a Samsung LCD TV model #LN46B301FUZA, a

I can't find your TV model to have a look at the manual. Normally you'd use a 3-plug RCA cable (Red, White, Yellow) to connect the audio and video outputs of the DVR to an RCA input on the TV. Then, hoping you have RCA OUTPUTS from the TV, you'd use a 2-plug RCA cable to take an Audio OUT from the TV into one of the receiver's Audio inputs (assuming you want to play TV sound through the receiver. If you have no RCA inputs on the TV, you can get an RCA to HDMI Converter from Amazon for $10-$15 to convert the output of the DVD player from 3-plug RCA to HDMI, then put that into one of the HDMI inputs on the TV. Likewise, if you have only an OPTICAL audio output from the TV you can get a converter for that -- Optical audio to RCA stereo -- and put that into your receiver as an input.

I have a Pioneer F957 and it says No Disc . The digital display works still lights up. Is there a reset button or procedure to restore to factory default ?

This has happened to me many times. After a player sits for a while, the lens that reads the discs can get a film/patina on it, especially if there has been cigarette smoke around it. Try this: Take a q-tip with rubbing alcohol on it (almost none, like dip it and squeeze most out with your fingers). Then, very GENTLY, with almost NO pressure, wipe the lens with a circular motion for a few seconds. Then, flip the q-tip over and dry the lens with a circular motion for a few seconds. Then, quickly blow on the lens to dry it and remove any remaining q-tip fibers/debris (don't spit, lol). This has worked for me many times. If you can't access the lens from/through the disc door, you'll have to open the unit, in which case you could also blow out all of the dirt/dust with a spray can of air or small air compressor first. Also, if the player is an older player, and some of the discs are not store bought (like ones that you burned yourself), some might not play because your burn technology was/is more advanced than your player. Good luck.

How do I make sure that my Pioneer in-dash is working before installation

If you have access to a car battery charger or other 12 volt battery source, you can twist the 12 volt memory and accessory wires together (yellow and red) and attach those to the positive voltage source. Connect the ground wire (black) to the negative source. This will allow you to turn on the unit. Now, you need to have a sound source, and at least one small speaker to test with. Use a CD (simplest) or USB stick with music, or bluetooth enabled phone, whichever will work with your radio to provide music. If you have a bookshelf stereo speaker, or even an old speaker from an alarm clock that should work fine. With your radio powered on, music playing, volume turned up to a moderate level, touch each of the radio's 4 speaker channel's wires to your speaker and make sure you hear sound. If you don't have a car battery charger handy, you can also use an electric drill battery but be sure you know which battery terminal is positive and which is negative before you connect your radio. Another source of 12 volt power may be any number of power adapters that plug into an AC outlet, but you will need to proceed with caution. Check the back of the outlet and note the DV power output, as well as the current output (measured in amperes, or denoted with "mA" or "A". You will need a few amps (not milliamps) to turn on the radio, and at least 12 volts. You'll have to cut and strip the wires, so it's important to know which is positive and which is negative before connecting your radio to the wires. Again, please exercise extreme caution. Do not short the wires together or connect them to your radio in reverse once the adapter is plugged in. Do not perform ANY wire work while the adapter is plugged into the wall.
