for resetting the system parameters you have to remove and reinstall the lithium iron battery inside the machine. for that u have to open the machine. if you need the service manual for the same contact me through fixya, will sent it to you.

You have to replace the battery. Normally the EKG and ECG works in battery even the mains is connected. If you check the battery it will show the specified voltage written on it. But when the machine start this voltage will drop. At this time the machine will show low battery and then switch off. when the battery is damage if you charge it for a few day then also it will not get charge. Replace the battery will solve the problem.

u didn't mentioned the problem of ur heartstart FR2.

I usually just jiggle the ekg lead wires around while hooked up to a simulator. If you don't do it this way you might test it and have it appear to be working but than turn into an intermittent problem. If you have more questions on this, please let me know.
