Petmate Cats - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
How can I fix my broken pet feeder?
Unlikely it is worth repairing if it is out of the one year warranty, as the replacement parts (if available) could be close to the replacement cost.

My fountain stoped working...
If it is the kind of fountain that you can open up and clean etc, you should do that. If it is a pet dish there is a good chance that the small pump inside that pushes water from the bottom to the top has gotten clogged up with pet hair. You should try opening it up, finding the pump, and if there is a build up of pet hair, clean it out and see if that fixes it. You should also be able to watch the pump working after cleaning it out to see whether it is still pumping or whether there may be another issue like a clogged filter elsewhere. In the meantime, turn off the fountain and unplug it, as having the pump running but not able to **** in water will burn it out.
Does the decor of cat furniture matter?
That is really a personal choice. You can create your own if you have a specific style you are wanting to achieve. Most of the material you should be able to get at Home Depot or other home improvement store. Personally, for just a couple small pieces I do not think it matters. Some people on the other hand will want it all matching with their home. What really matters is, are your cats using it? If they are not, then it does not matter how good it looks. :-)

My cigeratte litter, radio and air corn show light
It sounds like you may have a blown fuse. The cigarette lighter, radio, and air conditioner lights are all typically powered by the same fuse, so if one of them goes out, the others will likely go out as well.
To check the fuse, you will need to locate the fuse panel. This is usually located under the dashboard, on the driver's side. Once you have located the fuse panel, consult your owner's manual to identify the fuse that powers the cigarette lighter, radio, and air conditioner lights.
Once you have identified the correct fuse, remove it and inspect it. If the fuse is blown, you will need to replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating. Fuses are inexpensive and can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
If you replace the fuse and the cigarette lighter, radio, and air conditioner lights still do not work, then there may be a problem with the wiring or the electrical components themselves. In this case, you will need to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Can you give follow up story about picture you aired with man rescued sitting in a boat with his wet cats in a crate?
No, because Fixya doesn't post stories. News sites do. And even if you hunt for this story now, you will encounter other news stories of rescues of cats in even more challenging circumstances. There is simply not enough unique elements of this story to pull up what you are looking for among what you supplied. Man in boat with crate of cats is not a phrase that will locate what you seek. Sorry. But a cat lover's forum might turn up someone with a source to the story.

Causes of littering
Male cat meets female cat and exchanges phone numbers.
If you refer to a group of young cats or kittens, you can use the traditional term "Litter of cats" or a "Clowder of cats".

My cat got Frontline plus in his eye. What can I do at home to help? I can't afford to take him to the vet right now. Please help.
Eyes are serious and tricky.
You could VERY GENTLY bathe the eye with plain clean warm water. Wiping gently downwards gently making the eyelid close. Then all you can do is leave it up to the cat to apply its own saliva to the injured eye. They do have a form of antisceptic in their salivary glands.
Just keep a close watch and GENTLY wipe away any pus that forms or if the eye sticks shut, with warm water and a cotton ball.
I am sorry you can't take your cat to the Vet, times are hard right now.
I wish you all the best of luck and hugs to you and your cat.
:-)
