I have a used restaurant pro express v 12.0 pos

You probably won't like this answer but, that is in the pcAmerica software and would have to be changed by them, legally. And for a hefty fee I imagine. Probably not worth the time, money or effort.

Good Morning I have a PC America POS system. It is 3 years old. The employee who was running it has left.

http://faq.pcamerica.com/maintenance/changing-the-administrator-password-and-administrator If you have no access to an administrative password, I doubt you want 3rd parties trying to "crack" the system to unlock it. Consider how that would leave the system open to abuse if achieveable. Beyond the threat of legal recourse, likely to cost more than whatever pcAmerica might charge, you are likely stuck.

We intstalled Restaurant Pro Express

You should be getting a tip line along with signature line. In your case, because you are not running cc thru the POS system, you either run the card twice or wait till customer adds tip to run it. Neither is very good situation. An MSR is cheap, lets the system do the work, and tips are settled before you batch credit cards.
If you are not getting a tip line, could it be you setup your company as a quick serve. This stops a tip line.

How do i change prices in restaurant pro express?

under manager, choose administrative, then inventory maintenance. This puts you where you set item pricing. You then need to locate the item. 3 ways to do this. Use the NEXT or PREVIUOS buttons to scroll thru entire inventory. Or if you know the item number, type it in the search box and hit ENTER. Or click the LOOKUP button and search for item on this screen and then hit SELECT.

Best answer here is if you just installed it, you still have free tech support from PCAmerica. You paid for it, use it. Unfortunately, not all techs are created equally. I want to change the way information is printed on

unfortunately as far as i've experienced, there is no way to change reports at all unless you use advanced reporting, but those won't print to the receipt printer.

Gift Card ID

Hey bacio,

when you have to enter a gift card number. when you are done with your oder click on pay there you will get an otin for gift card , cclick on it it ask you to swipe your gift card or type in the gift card id.

Printer spits out small piece of paper before printing receipt

We also facing same problem. We have a option for "No Print receipts", When we enable this option cash drawer will open after payment but it should not print. But printer spits out small piece of paper every time when payment is completed.
