Relay switch
- If the car is a Chrysler product and just cranks but won't fire, it could be the fusible link. On Ford and GM cars the car will not even crank if it is bad but on Chryslers it will just crank. I don't know about imports.
- Other possible sources of fuel related problems are a collapsed fuel line(depending on how old the car is) or plugged filter. Before you drive yourself nuts trying to locate the fuel shut off that the fellow described on the ranger.....it's been my experience that is only on ford models(you don't say anything about your make or yr)in the trunk in cars. Good luck

My dog ate the cord to the fan I need to know how
Hi mlh9188
You can replace your cord that was eaten by your dog very easy.
Disassemble your fan.
Be sure to mark how the fan is assembled with an awl or sharp instrument to scratch an alignment scratch on the outside of the motor case before you disassemble it....maybe even take a picture
Once you have the fan disassembled to the point that you can get to where the wire that was chewed is connected to the fan, you will disconnect the wires from the plugs,sockets,etc...take another picture before disassembly.
Take the old cord with you down to your local hardware store, loews, homedepot, ace hardware, etc.
Tell the person in the electrical dept what happened, and he will fix you up with a new set up.
Come home install the new cord and plug...keep away from dog...

I need a 3 speed switch for model: u2-1487.
For Patton
fan model U2-1487 120v 60Hz 1.5 amps. the 3-speed switch Patton does not carry replacement parts anymore. I suggest look some aftermark switch and check
your wiring and the diagram that come with the switch. You might have
the hot wire (power wire usually black in color) wired directly to
the motor. Normally the switch will have a common wired which should be the hot wire, then it should have a wire for each speed.
Double check your wiring and wiring diagram. I'm Sure It was just a small oversite. Personally, I suggest you evaluate the cost-benefit of changing the switch or replace the equipment.
Good luck.
