Packard bell cannot read my external drive

this is just off the cuff, check to see if any device will read from your usb port, plug a phone in, you should get a sound conformation once the device manager recognize the device, that will narrow down the culprit that troubles you, next if you don't like hunting down drivers then click on the link bellow & download this freeware driver'bot called "Slim Drivers" It will check every peace of hardware attached in, out, or on your system & makes sure that it has the latest drivers & installs them so they are threaded to shake hands with the operating system, it even hunts them down for you then shows them to you! all you have to do is click "download" its all point and shoot.."EZPZ123Z" If you don't eject the extramural hard drive before unplugging the usb..? you might have burned the circuit board on the external hard drive, try that,, it will narrow down & isolate the problem, PS wen you link over to slim drivers web site do not click on the first big green download button you come to! you want to step over that landmine! just below that you'll see this link! you know what? just click here >>>----> Download SlimDrivers Now good luck & best wishes

I bought a new Packard bell note book but when I switch it on it asks for a username and password. Please help as the manuals did not come with any instructions or the username and passwords

I agree with Jon Snell. This computer is NOT NEW. Someone has set a user name and password. If it is a Microsoft Windows 7 machine there are instructions on the net in U-Tube on how to break and eliminate or reset the password. If you bought what you were told is a new computer then take it back.

Packardbell notebook can't switch turn on webcam

Look at the keys on your keypad. Do you see one that may have a webcam symbol on it? If so try holding down on the Fn key, and pressing down on that key at the same time.

If this information does not help, then when Windows is loaded, and running, press the Start key, hover your mouse cursor on All Programs, go to the right, hover on >Packard Bell>drop down to >Security and Support>and then Packard Bell InfoCentre.

Click on Packard Bell InfoCentre. On this screen look at the icons across the top. Click on the icon all the way to the right. -> Guides
It has an icon of a book in it.
Look for Webcam.

How do I replace screen on Packard Bell EasyNote TE69KB laptop

I found a disassembly manual for the easy note, but don't let yourself fool by the easiness in the manual. You really need some skills. And when disassembled you need good nerves to assemble it correct. Don't start before you have the screen with you. The link is not accepted in the Fixya link tool, because to the ftp, but put the link down here in your browser. ftp://ftp.packardbell.com/pub/itemnr/CS070A00/en_tj_disassembly.pdf

How do I start a packard bell computer which is not my normal one but I have just received from a charity shop. It already has an existing password which I cannot overcome.

Hello, If you are referring to a windows login password, that might a really hard or even impossible to break through. However, the final option you have is to re-install the complete operating system. If you need detailed information about the operating system re-installation procedure, please provide the below information: 1) Make and model of the computer. 2) Operating system installed on the computer. 3) Have you been provided with a system recovery disk(Operating system disk)? Hope this helps..

Why did packard bell recovery not working

Try the recovery operation using a different hard drive. If that works then the original drive is so messed up that the recovery program will simply not work on it. Hard drive errors will cause programs to not operate or operate erratically.

Disable touchpad

Hi look for a FN + some key (F3-F12) combination to turn the touch pad off, there can also be a button next to the power button to switch touchpad on and off. You can also try to disable it using windows itself by right clicking the touchpad software (by the system clock )and in it's settings look for an option to deactivate the internal touchpad. Hope this helps.

Try reformatting your computer 'coz maybe your operating system is corrupted. If your afraid to lose your files, use different hard disk to install your new Operating System, then after installation,, copy all the files from the old hard disk to your new one by connecting it both to your computer and selecting your new OS in boot menu to start.

How do I reset the password on my packard bell netbook dot s

You can follow this steps: * Enter wrong password 5/6 times. * You should see a system disabled screen. * Your system disabled screen will show a error code, ex: 07347 * Now go to biospw.org, enter the error code. * The site will generate you a master reset code from which you can reset the bios password. *** Some laptops doesn't support that method.*** You can find further information in this link: http://dogber1.blogspot.com/2009/05/table-of-reverse-engineered-bios.html Dogbert Blog

My Packard bell easy note ns loptop go slow. What Is the right solution

Download ''ComboFix'' software and install and run it. (Make sure antivirus, if installed, is TURNED OFF before installing and running the program). You can download it directly from www.combofix.org. It takes quite some time to run and ''do it's thing''. Your laptop will appear ''frozen'' for a while. Just LEAVE IT ALONE. Let the program do it's job, and you'll be a very happy camper when it's all done. Afterwards, assuming you do not have an antivirus program (or not a good one). Uninstall whatever bad antivirus program you are currently using and install ''Security Essentials'' (free from Microsoft). // NOTE: Before installing ''Security Essentials'', but _after_ running ComboFix, (assuming no other antivirus is running... if so, disable it)... Run ''System Defragmenter.'' You'll find it inside the ''System Tools'' Folder, which is located inside the ''Accessories'' Folder. After the defrag is done, install Security Essentials (assuming you have no antivirus and/or you've uninstalled it). Then you'll have your computer back to ''spiffy'' quick. // Ps... The first time you run a scan on Security Essentials, have it do a FULL scan rather than a ''quick'' scan (which is a good enough setting for routine scans later on).

What graphics card is in the imedia 5064

I think as supplied, this PC uses the on-board graphics (built into to the m/b). As this PC is 2nd hand, it may already contain a graphics card. To fins about your system easily without opening the case you could go to www.piriform.com and download a program "speccy" (free). Run this and it will tell you the details of your system including the graphics card type and detail of the memory. The simple memory can be obtained from Windows > My computer > (right click on) properties if I remember correctly). Next go here http://www.wowwiki.com/System_requirements You will find the minimum system requirements for playing WoW. You may find that to upgrade not only the graphics card but also the RAM. If you need and decide to upgrade the graphics card be sure to shoose one that is compatible with your computer with your computer/motherboard. I suspect (http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/1/tech-helproom/69141/packard-bell-imedia-5064-motherboard/) it may be very similar to this one http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1335#ov but I don't know for certain. This page contains all the details for that motherboard. Note that speccy will give you some detail about your motherboard and memory types required as well. Depending on which graphics card you decide (this may be helpful http://www.playtool.com/pages/vidtable/table.html ) on you may need to upgrade your power supply (PSU). It's very easy to do this; more difficult is to decide on which PSU to choose. You may need to some research (as with the graphics cards and memory). There is some good second hand stuff - PSUs graphics cards memory often available through ebay but caveat emptor - read listings very thoroughly and carefully, don't pay too much (set your limit before you look). syetem requirements for WoT are here http://worldoftanks.com/en/content/guide/general/system-requirements/ 21.December.2014

Change the display language

The display language is the language that Windows uses in wizards, dialog boxes, menus, Help and Support topics, and other items in the user interface. Some display languages are installed by default, and others require you to install additional language files. When you change the display language, it is changed for your user account and is not changed on the Welcome screen. If you want to set the display language for multiple users or the Welcome screen, see Apply regional and language settings to reserved accounts.

  1. Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region, and then clicking Regional and Language Options.

  2. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

  3. Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.

If you don't see the list of display languages, you need to install additional language files first. For more information, see Install a display language.
