ICANNOT OPEN SETTINGS WITH OLYMPUS VG140

If you are unable to open the settings menu on your Olympus VG140 camera, there could be a few different reasons. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the camera's battery: Make sure that the camera's battery is fully charged and properly inserted into the camera.
  2. Check the camera's firmware: Make sure that the camera's firmware is up to date.
  3. Check the camera's manual: Some cameras may have different settings or limitations that affect the use of the settings menu.

My olympus sz 14 camera shows Zoom error on the screen when I turn it on and then turns off immediately. I bought a new battery a d charged the camera but it continues to shut off.

The "Zoom Error" message that appears on your Olympus SZ-14 camera's screen when you turn it on, followed by the camera turning off immediately, could be caused by a problem with the camera's lens. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Turn off the camera and remove the battery and memory card. Then, wait for a few minutes before re-inserting them and turning the camera back on.
  2. Try gently tapping the camera on a flat surface to try and realign the lens.
  3. Check the lens for any dirt or debris that may be blocking the movement of the lens. Clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth.
  4. Check the lens for any physical damage like dents or cracks.
  5. Try using the camera without the zoom function to see if it still turns off.
  6. Contact Olympus customer support: If you have tried all the above steps and the camera is still not working, it may be best to contact Olympus customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue or tell you if a repair is needed.

WHEN I TURN MY OLYMPUS ON IT GOES RIGHT TO "ZOOM ERROR" THEN SHUT OFF. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

When your Olympus camera goes straight to "Zoom Error" and then turns off, it is likely that there is an issue with the camera's lens mechanism. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Turn off the camera and remove the battery and memory card. Then, wait for a few minutes before re-inserting them and turning the camera back on.
  2. Gently move the lens back and forth with your fingers to see if it can be moved and if it is stuck.
  3. Use a can of compressed air to blow dust and debris out of the lens mechanism.
  4. Check the lens for any physical damage such as cracks or dents.
  5. Try using the camera without the zoom function to see if it still turns off.
  6. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Olympus customer support for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue or tell you if a repair is needed.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus camera is an older model camera, which makes it harder to find replacement parts and professional repair services. If the camera is still under warranty, you may be able to get it repaired or replaced by the manufacturer.

Olympus sp-550uz wont take photos

Okay so you're probably first thing I would do is make sure that the batteries and charging is good and the camera has power and enough power to operate the second thing I would focus on is the memory card they can wear out they can go bad and they can break I would try different memory card I'm also attaching the manual for that camera make sure you get a memory card that belongs with that camera even though they look the same they have different speed ratings on the card from 1 to 10 make sure you have the exact and proper memory card it's made for that camera or it will not work http://cs.olympus-imaging.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/zoom/man_sp550_e.pdf
