Your camera may be ok. Every and each camera has different reactions to a battery condition depending on the design of the circuit. Your battery may work ok on the other camera but this camera needs more juice (assuming the camera is working ok). If the camera demanding more power from the battery, try the rechargable batteries. Swapped out the USB cable with a different one and the display showed, "REMOTE". Hope this helps someone out. I've been troubleshooting this on my end for the last two days...

You may have to reset the recorder by going to the Device Menu and selecting reset settings. The other option is to attached the device to a computer and use file explorer to browse about the used space and free space of the memory of the recorder. If there is no free space, you need to deleted files. You might try transferring some to a folder on the computer if trying to preserve data. That also might free up enough space on the recorder for it to function again.

Currently there's no windows 7 drivers for this model, but we can still run this printer by installing the xp drivers in "Compatibility" mode. If you don't have the Xp drivers, download it from the link below and follow the instructions;

As soon as you click the link, download will automatically begin, you'll need winzip or winrar program to unzip the files. Extract the drivers to a new folder, right-click on the Setup file, click "compatibility" tab and check/tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows XP (service pack 2)", click "Ok", Now run the "setup" and connect the printer when you are asked to do so. This will definitely fix your problem. Many drivers and softwares which aren't compatible with windows 7 can be installed and run in the same way.

It could be full. try clearing some space.

Is this an SD card or SDHC card ? If so, have you inadvertently set the write-protect switch to 'ON' ? To read it on your computer, you will need to get a USB card reader that will read your particular card, then connect this to your computer, which should treat the card as an extra drive. You say the card has been in use for several years - it may just be corrupted or at the end of its useful life - I should consider replacing it soon.

I just bought a used DM-40, and formatted my device before reading that I lost the voice guide files. I tried the above links and s/n for installing DSSplayer 7 but no joy. Does anyone have the files who would be willing to email them to me, and tell me which folder to place them in? Or provide a working s/n for a v7 installation? Thanks, Mike

my latch was broken at plastic not the door but on the camera. i drilled a very small hole in the door and then into the camera. i used one of the spare very small screws that came on my ring door bell and screwed the screw into the new hole .worked great
